Well, why not join in...?

I'm Christer Sveen, now working as a graphic artist/animator and concept designer at Funcom in Oslo, Norway, on the game "Anarchy Online".

Previously, I've worked at Scavenger Inc. in Denmark, Psygnosis Ltd. in London, and before returning to Norway last year I worked at Shiny Entertainment in California, on the pc game "Messiah".

I have worked on a few freelance projects as a 3d artist and animator, and also did some comic book pages here and there for a norwegian silly-humor magazine called "Pyton" during high-school.

Work includes concept designs, character modeling/texturing and animation, and on my spare time I am trying to get into doing some extra illustration work just for the fun of it..

company: www.funcom.com
game: www.anarchy-online.com

That's about all I can think of right now..

-Christer

Matthew Lovullo
owner / head art department
Phantom MX ( http://www.PhantomMX.com )

current location : University at Buffalo, Amherst, NY

( West Harrison , NY when not at college )

I'm currently a student at the University at Buffalo, but in my free time I run the Phantom MX game development and entertainment network which is a comprehensive resource for gaming news, entertainment news, etc. There are about 4 sites in the network so far and it should debut in a couple of weeks or so ( when its done!!! )

I am well versed at making web pages, interface designs, conceptual artwork, know html inside and out, and can make graphics that are striking as well as fast loading for the web.

At Phantom MX we are also working on a trilogy of games that we started on back in 1998. I am currently writing the novel that the games are to be based off of. The first of our games should come into light around 2006 or so. ( yes, a long development time, but the game has > 600 hours of gameplay! )

I also work with 3d Studio Max R3 extensively.

Work as a Multimedia Designer for Involve Learning (www.involvelearning.com). Means I design, build and animate and a littel bit of action scripting.

I have been drawing since I was 10, and kinda just moved over to the computer. I wish I could use my wacom more in work and do illustrations, but its more GUI and Flash animation. Want to work more with 3D.

Also have my own small company where I am a freelance web designer. (www.designerguy.com just a front page, no content)

There ya go...

Umm, I sit in my room all day, drawing and playing games. That's kind of like a job... Except I don't get paid... And I don't do any work... And it doesn't benefit anyone...

Hey Tinusch, we've got the same career!

Well, except I'm at university right now, studying maths, which doesn't leave me much time for "running" works*onpaper, which I have to do in my spare time.

So far, I've done most of my work without getting paid, mainly for experience. Anybody wants to throw more experience my way, I'll be more than grateful!

Couldn't really say I do that "for a living", tho

<edit>

Oh, example of work - Hutch & Ken's Day of Beer

Still makes me laugh. There's a bad photo of me kicking about on that site as well...

So, if you do digital art as a profession (doesn't mean only in photoshop, just anything art related using the computer for at least part of the work) please reply here and include who you work for, what your company does, and what you do for them....this includes those of you who do freelance work. Just really brief things like for example for me i'd say : I work @ Valve Software who make computer games, and i'm a 2d/3d artist there."

You dont have to include your real name if you dont want...

I'm not sure if this will work...maybe i will only get 1 response, but i think there should be at least a few people here.

The page i will add this to will most likely be accessible from the main forums page along with some other pages i'd like to create, such as the most frequently asked questions on this board and their answers and some other things.

If you know others that work somewhere but maybe dont come here everyday to see this message, please lemme know their info too (if they've already publicly made this info known, i dont want to "out" anyone )

thanks,
