Hello everyone,
It can't get much more cliched than this ...
The picture itself is made for a background (or matte painting, as the people here might prefer to term) in a short ...
Without farther ado,
Somehow, I get the feeling something's missing ... I cannot find anything ... help ? Suggestions, critique, and all other comments are welcome !
Gabe

Very cool! Just one crit, or really just a suggestion: the door at the end looks a bit plain... I'm thinking it should be a bit more ornate... other than that it's a really great pic! ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

I think that a monk would add a lot to the atmosfere of the painting. And a small one would give the place a huge scale! |

Well I can't find anything wrong with it all really. I just had to say that I really like the lighting

PeZ : Excellent idea. This was (actually, by the request of the filmmaker) supposed to be a "church corridoor" ... so I was trying to stay away from putting an alter at the end, or anything too fancy, actually. I guess I overkilled it, now it's too plain
Ragnarok : I have to resist the urge of adding charactors to the scene. It's for a background ...
Ndr113 : Thanks ! |

Thats looking very nice. The only thing that seems to feel a bit wrong is the spotted atmospherics. ie. there seems to be little patches of lit cloud here and there. I think it would be better with some more directional light beams coming from the windows.

Wow That looks awesome...I agree with the comments about the patchy/cloudy light source and the door being somewhat plain in comparison to the rest of the pic, but it really doesn't take away from the pics goodness

i like this one a lot. great colors and nice dusty atmosphere... heavy photoshopping i guess? only thing that is bothering me is that desaturated/dirty white there is on the bottom right corner's pilars and ground... the image gets suddenly very flat there if you know what i mean. but this is just nitpicking actually.

Gabe -
That looks really good man. Some small details like some torch holders or something along the length of the corrider would look cool. |

trans, maybe a tapestry would be good for over the door... preferably one with religious significance

what about some of those huge candleholders (or whatever you call it)
Great pic =)
[Edit] and perhaps some kinda benches? looks really empty the way it is right now..
(Exjaus maj inglish, skipped school far too much)
[Again] think it would look good if you could "see" the light coming in trough the windows.. sorta like when you use a flashlight in a dark room with a few generals etc with those fat cigars or sumfin
wooha!
