Hi again,
Here is a 'work in progress' of another creature-head image.
There are few items that I want to improve upon, but I would appreciate getting your critique before I finish the image.

Thanks,
-Pixelator

that looks interestingly digusting.. eww! i dunno what to say, make it less disgustin? make it more disgusting? lol..
oh yeah, his clothing or is that his skin, the gold-goldentin looks really cartoonish drawn, atleast to me.. doesnt have that much so-call dept to it.. thats prolly due to the black lines.

i dunno if i like it or not, lol, like as in like. anyway, looks cool nonetheless. have you made any human faces with zbrush?

Hey Pixelator, just thought I'd take a second and give you some props. I wasn't crazy about a lot of your earlier work, as it all had that plastic Z-Brush default look to it, but the last few you've posted have had much better surfacing properties.

The only thing that looks bad to me in this piece is that tattered edge at the bottom of his head dress. To my eye, it is way too black and harshly-defined.

Hey Pixalator this is my favorit of your's so far, but I think the eye looks like it's coming from a straight on point of veiw(sorry if this sounds confusing) rather then the profile of the character.

Good Job! I'm anxious to see more.

Thank you for your feedback and critique .

Above: I do agree with your observation. The eye is one of the items that I am planning to refine.

Thanks,

some animals have eyes like that, it seems naturally.

Actually, there is a genetic trait to eye positioning. Predators needs depth and focus and clarity, and so both eyes look in the same direction. Their prey need to be awake of everything (need a wide FOV) and so prey have eyes looking in opposite directions.

examples: fish and horses and flies have side-mounted eyes that give them a wide FOV.

foxes and cats and owls have forward-facing eyes, giving them better perception of what is right ahead.

humans eyes lie almost on a plane, but we have a wider FOV than most predators (i think).

nothing to add

just an suggestion:
how about putting more perspective in your pics;(instead of front-and sideview)
would be an interesting task
don't you think?
