I have a pretty serious problem with my wacom.. It tries to isntall on the same com port as the Modem.. The modem wont use another com port..[Com 1/3] How do I get the wacom to install on com 2?
Whenever the wacom is installed I cant dial up and whenever i am online I cant use the wacom... Its very frustrating so if anyone out there can give me a hand I would REALLY apreciate it.

Thanks

Jenn,

Had the same problem with my computer a few monthes ago. Spent hours on the phone with tech support. Manually set the com ports. Flashed the BIOS. Tried everything, and still it would not work. I finally set up a dual boot machine 98/NT and just use 98 to get online. Super frustrating. Wish I had good news and could help you out with this. Hopefully someone else knows. I'm very interested in the solution to this myself.

You gota Download the newest "voodoo_wac.dll" drivers. Install them in your c:/windows/font/ dir. Theres also some new voodoo_mod.dll's for your modems to have SLI modems.

Yoink!

Let me guess, you have a plug-n-play, PCI modem. I would try to fiddle with the tablet, because plug-n-play modems are the most stubborn pieces of hardware you can put in a computer.
Make sure you have COM2 installed. Unistall COM3, it's just redundant. Reboot and try to reinstall the tablet with the autofind ports option.
This is one of those little things that just make you want to pick up a pen and draw.

I had the same problem for a while. I just physically plugged the tablet into com1. I don't know if that's an option for everyone...
