Well im bumping my post back up to the top of the forum...
It travelled 3/4 of a page with out a single reply...
Ive spent over 6 hours on this picture, I know its not that exciting but id still like to know what you think...
I feel I deserve atleast deserve one reply..
I do try to support most images on this forum, this is a community this forum and sometimes i feel that the community feeling is lacking sometimes... |

I like the image very much. It does look like a photo. Everything looks good except the hard light. They are to bright. and the left muscle looks like its going "in" and not out.
well I can see that you have put down a lot of effort into the image. Good work! |

To me it looks very nice, The hard lighting may be a little too hard but maybe that's just how the photowas taken, I dunno, very well done on the pec/tricep area, love the veins, that part looks realyl realistic and made me doubt a sec if this was real or painted! (A good thing.)

it really does look like a photo well done. I think the same as slicer, and the neck looks a little more fat than muscular, but that could be the picture. good job =).

the only wrong thing with this pic is the left biceps ... it looks very strange .. like it a breast lol ... or like a shoulder but definately not like a biceps ...

Nice rendering, except. . .what's that on the far right? Is that supposed to be his left pectoral or his left shoulder? It seems a little strange. I've noticed people referring to it as a his bicep.
The photo may have been strange, but your painting should have made more sense of it.
Just an opinion. . .

Hi Freddio,
Where you trying your best to copy the pic, even into the flaws of the photograph?
If so, It looks a bit too "painterly"
Could we see the reference?

Piere: SOrry im not as got as you so umm yea looks like its gonna stay pinterly... unless im gonna spend another 4 hjours refining it, with a little more detail as a result..
Ok here the reference, I dont like posting the reference because It detracts from the the pic because it always looks so much more realistic...
anyway
You can see I missed a fair bit of detail, but if I was going to go that detailed it would be incredibly hard..
anyway
thanks everyone for all your comments |

this discussed muscle is his left pectoralis muscle (99,89% probability). The arm is behind his back holding his other hand at the wrist = standard pose to show triceps.
great picture Freddio, i like it very much.

looks cool freddio !
Just a few comments/suggestions, if you don't mind
His left breast, far right chest part on the picture looks too big in a way. I see it's the same on the photo, but somehow it feels a bit wrong on your painting, because you loose the feelight that it goes in a perspective. Hmm, do you see what I mean ?
And the suggestion, when you paint something like this, it could be really good if you tried to expand the canvas and see if you managed to think out how more of his body would be with the same light and texture and get the shapes to look right. Maybe even his face, hehe ...that's hard
anyway, keep up the good work..

its a left bicep.. you can see the arm extending i think. i dont think he has a left pict.. though ;x maybe its just the photo and the pose.. id give him one anyway even if it wasn't in the photo
oh yeah, it looks much like a photo.. did you use a filter to make it look fuzzy?
