Got a wacom yesturday. I got to say i love this thing i just wish i could use it to its full potencial, but someday i will =). Well my friend wanted me to color his picture so i decided to try out my wacom with it. Please could you crit the coloring, not the line art. The line art was done by a friend therefore im not going to change it. He is just starting so please im more interested on the coloring. Some tips on making the face seem more realistic with the colors would be nice. This is only my second picture actually colored. I always just use pencil.
Thanks,
WICKED

Well I think the face could use some more contrast, make the edges of the head darker, and add more bright spots in the cheeks and nose and such. I think you have the light/dark areas covered well, with overheaqd light 'n all, just add more contrast to livin' it up a little.
Oh and use the paintbrush or Airbrush for much better looking results. Pencil has hard edges, and it shows.. :/
Set the maximum opacity lower if you wanna have some fun blending colors.

I guess the tongue acts wrong. It has to hang down I think. And it's a human... why the splitted tongue?
Rest seems quite cool for a paintbrush pic. Good drawing in any case.
Keep it up! |

hehe I like it. It has that special Christmas feel again that everyone seems to have these days. The ring through his eyebrow should be a little bit further from the edges. It looks like it's pierced under the hair. That's all.
