Hey. here's a real tiny teaser for ghrib 5. I know its not alot but it's only like 150k and gives you a sense of where the shows are going.

DIV-X GHRIB 5 TEASER*** updated on the night of the 20th!!

If you aren't familiar with the ghrib series, you can get all 4 of them in one file here: Ghrib shows 1 through 4

enjoy! comments/anything appreciated.

Hey Synj, you should really compile the Ghrib eposides into ONE single avi file when done... it would be very nice indeed! (Eposides? what the...?=)

Synj: man, i love your stuff so much, i watch them on a regular basis and ive got my friends praying for updates every day. My question is, do you have a background in movies or cinema ? cause your animations go beyond just good CGI.

Oooooooooohhhhhhhhh....... she LOVES him! muahahah , well i dont love synj - i NUKE him!
Synj you bum, why so short? How long does it take to animate you say.. 10 seconds of a cartoon? Also Frost meant compile it in one MOVIE instead of episodes, not all episodes in one ZIP file you FREAK!

Now give me my vodka..

thanks!

russian man: eheh no i put them all together in an avi you rubelpooper. well, all of this pretty much took a day to do. It's a teaser not a trailer or anything - that's why it is so short.

anticz: that is awesome to hear. some of the best feedback i've ever gotten

Zaph0d: you aren't the ID software guy are you? nah, I don't have any formal teaching or background in anything involving film. Just commercial art in highschool and a really bad need to make a living doing this. hehehe tell your friends i'm on the case 24/7 yo word peace.

This teaser will probably be updated in a day or two. or three.

Going with the "you shold compile these in to one lone movie when you're done." ... you should try sending the finished work to the Sci Fi Channel.

The SciFi Channel has a show that it does that showcases work done by independant directors and artists. Many of them make it on to the web page as well. College work by George Lucas, high school work by Clive Barker, and lots by people you've never heard of, and might never hear of again. Exposure is the name of that show. Check it out, especially if you have a broadband connection (ON2 is an incredible plug-in; system intesive, but astounding quality). I definatly think anyone here interested in stop motion need to check out More, and Mr. Resistor. For computer animated shorts, check out Tripping the Rift (the original is some what pornographic, this version has been dulled down a little, but only a little), Antebios, Dust City, and All is Full Of Love (Bjork video). Oh, and if you haven't seen Bingo yet and you're in to realistic 3d animation, you should be ashamed of yourself (done using the beta and alpha versions of Maya).

If anyone here has heard of atom Films, Exposur is a great, viewer rated, showcase of some of the better sci-fi oriented films which are often from the fore mentioned site.

BTW, for those of you who are Clive Barker fans ... be forewarned, even though he did this when he was 17, be prepared to watch male genitals spinning on your screen for a good half hour in this 45 minute "short."

schizo: excuse me! I had to write the music, the plot, set up the skeletons, set up the scene, light it, and render out the 200 animated 320x240 frames afterwards. Then, sync it in Adobe Premiere. It's not like some kind of Wacom still image that should take 20 minutes to an hour.

peter: You don't know whats going on with the ghrib series? Did you see show4? ?

Zaph0d: I guess I'll have to make a feature length then

Hamster: ehhh?

sear: hehe thanks!

cyber-artist:hmm. sci-fi thing is interesting. my rights would get stripped though upon doing this yes? btw, its funny you mention mister resistor. That guy had a deal here where I work. (Z.com) His shows are still up there but I guess it just fell through.

sure thing. I use lightwave v5.5 for all of my 3D. I don't, however, recommend starting on this program.

Ok...i was beating my self up on what to do with this, since "I"personally like it, but that doesnt mean much. just cause i like it doesnt mean its good. so i wanted another opinion, especially Synj's

I want to know if i should keep working on it or not.

{note: those that are weary about downloading my files cause i was using geocities...im not anymore, im using UGO. and it works heh)

synj: if u want the Ghrib 1 song remix too ill mp3 it. it was hard! you do crazy notes man, i decided to give up on the xylophone, but i might still do the second piano part with the pizzicatto(cool word) strings.

hamster: ha! your remix sure didn't sound like you had a hard time with those notes. i like how that one gets distorted at the end. what program(s) did you use to make your music? gotta get a hold of that snare roll!!

oh, and yeah i'd love to get a hold on the mp3.

Just looked through all you're 3d animations.

All is super, and i really think you should continue on the "Ike and the Egg show" and "Koy"....

They are soo funny....
They would be great ass cartoons on TV....
I'll bet the kids would love them.... Speciell KOY....

Like that ninja dude.... But i can't understand why he has a sword when he don't have any hands???

ANd "houston" was really funny....
I like the colors on it..

Make some "MMR ATTACK" episodes...

I WANT MORE OF EVERYTHING....
