memory is the amount of available ram that photoshop uses. If it's at 50% it uses half of your total memory. So if you had 200MB and it's at 50% you'd be only using 100 MB.

I just snipped the next part from the adobe help file:

For Cache Levels, enter a value between 1 and 8. A higher value results in more caching and quicker screen redraw, but also uses more hard disk space and RAM, and can increase the time it takes to open a file.

I dunno too. Sorry, can't help you. But maybe you're lucky and one of those putridly
old art-gurus gets his ass to his keyboard and answers. I mean why don't you? It's isn't that hard.

Well, if I know I'm not running any other applications while in Photoshop, except maybe a music player, then I'll bump that number up to the 85-90 range. That should leave enough resources available for your player to run. If I'm running other big apps like 3DS Max and/or a number of internet windows, MS Outlook etc. then I'll bump that number down around 50 so I'm only using up half my RAM. Remember to shut down Photoshop and restart it everytime you change that number though since the effects won't take place until you do so.

I like the style, but I don't like the bar on the right side. Takes away the style and kinda ruins the picture.
