Here is my attempt to make a Frazetta-like Christmas picture. If it looks nothing like Frazetta, that's because I don't paint that well...

I started this about a month ago, put it down, but was re-inspired to finish when I saw Frost's great pic on 3DPalette.

Any critiques, thoughts are welcome.

Otherwise... Merry Christmas!

Hmmm nice. Certainly looks windy. But why is the snow around his legs and stick lighter than the rest of the snow - it is all the same stuff after all.

Merry Xmas, Ampa.

Codexier: I inspired you? Wow. It's a nice painting, but there is a problem with his hand and the snow (they look like splashes of some sort). Thanks for the xmas greetings, same to you. =)

Thanks for the crits all!

Ampa: Yeah, that makes sense, doesn't it...not sure why I didn't think of that.

Pierre: I'll look that one up. I'm intrigued.

Bitz and Freddio: Hmmm...that *would* make it a little more realistic wouldn't it.

Notice that most of the critiques have to do with composition type problems. I never though about how the snow should be moving similar to the hair, and there would definately be footprints. My main block right now is composition. Any tips?

Anthony: ...and hands. Definately got problems with hands.

Frost: Yes, sorry to inflate your ego. I though your picture was really great, especially Santa's face.

Again, thanks for the crits guys. Maybe if it snows tomorrow, I'll play hookie from work and try to fix some of the problems.

I don't understand what this pic has to do with frezetta?
I think Frezetta would have painted Santa as a half naked girl with and axe or something like that.
