In Finland I love the sunny winter days. Haven't seen much snow yet, but one fine day I saw the sun. Oh yes, thru the window. On the highest it was merely on my eye level and I had to use sunglasses because I don't have much curtains at home. Nearly blinded me. G'damn it was bright. Phew! I couldn't do anything really. I couldn't see anything from my monitor or tv and light reflected from paper so i couldn't draw either. Nasty sun. That's why I like more those dark rainy/snowy nights, kinda like the mood..

First of all we have a lot of stupid people here who can't even grasp the inches/lbs thing.

Second of all we hate being like everyone else. To conform is to whither and die.

Besides I like weighing more than a pile of 'stones'...you sound like such a weakling...200 pound'ings' sounds better.

I doubt seriously if it will ever change...hell I'm a pretty intelligent guy being a programmer and even I can't grasp the metric change (actually I've never tried hehe)..what is it 1.6 kilometer to the mile or something? who knows?

It hasn't seemed to make us slowdown, so I doubt it will be changed..there is quite a bit of cursing that comes along with being a mechanic I'm sure..I remember working n cars and having to mess with two sets of sockets and stuff like that. Oh well stubborness is another American trait ingrained.

Abouth the metric system...

When there were no machines...pund, miles and the other stuff was easy to use coz you could devide them whit manny number. Take 12 inches (1 foot) can be devided in 2, 3, 4, 6. While 10 decimeters only can be divided by 2 and 5. Now when we have a calculators the other system is superior...
And it is not like beeing like one else, coz it is about development and

And to the topic...if you would like to study art or design, the best countries in the world are Sweden and England. *in my poit of view*

How can you live in Sweden, G�teborg and NOT know of the fact that we have like 5-6 art Univeristies just in this town. Take HDK (h�gskolan f�r design och konsthantverk), Valand, KV etc (I don't have all their names in my head tho). The grades are the same as in the rest of the world, Bachler and Master Degree of fine Arts etc.

Also I go to a collage here in G�teborg witch is art oriented (Schillerska Gymnasium). There are ALOT of more good art schools, I'm sure. It's just a matter of finding them.

Very good Canadian artists are.. humm.. let's see.. where did I put my note.. AH ! Here it is! Ok, my note says:

Oh.. Darn! I guess the first artists to blow me away were like, my cousin, who used to RULE (now I think I'm better than him..) then I found out comic art, Spawn, Pitt, Marvel stuff, etc.. and was really blown away by that as well. Only since I found out about this board I have bought alot of books and have been studying alot of art lately!

Guess Canada's not a good place to be born in if you want to be surrounded by goodness art. Only good artist in all of Canada is: FROST! Ol' buddy ol' pal! We only met a bit less than 2 years ago, but I feel I known him my entire life!


And talking about depression: I've seen this report on a study made about the people who lived in research labs in the North or South Pole.. Depressions were through the roof (relatively compared to normal land places where the sun shines at least once a day). Whereas, on the poles, it's sunny 6 months, night 6 months. This is a strong indication that the time of day affects your moral consciusness. Frightening stuff!
