the first two are me messing with the gradient mesh.. (back when I first learnd illustrator) and the last one is a loading screen for a friend's program

just wanted to see what you think... also wondering who uses illustrator here and for what

ugh had them as links instead of images

heh I know, the blown out candle allso took the longest, the other two are 15 minutes each... the blown out one... hours...

well, i use illustrator at work, for doing text over bitmaps created in photoshop, logos in general, and graphics in general. Vectors are super for creating graphics that will be printed big (11x17 or larger), because they have a much smaller file size than bitmaps for that kinda thing. Cheaper printing, too, because you can have consistent colors. You can tell the pre-press guys what shade exactly to use on stuff using Pantone colors. Paths are also helpful when you're using a mouse, and/or when you want geometric shapes.

Only use illustrator to clean up stuff made in flash5.

I use Illustrator. I posted something a few days ago that i did with it. I think the post is buried somewhere now below the first page. Still haven't figured out the gradient mesh yet...
