Wow! I just heard about this forum and I was amazed at how many posts there were! I hope this pic isn't too 'cute' for this board, but I really wanna get as many opinions as possible so tell me what you think! See something you like? Tell me! See something you dont? Tell me! I want to hear your opinions! Thanx.

Here is the Big Version: http://www.pages.drexel.edu/~man27/images/dollBIG.jpg

Thanks I really appreciate it!

Way too fucking cute. Get out of here shit brick.

Eh, I'm just kidding. You can stay. For now....

But it is too cute still. My perscription for fixing that:
1)More dark colors
2)More nudity
3)Less smiley shit
4)More blood
5)More monsters
6)More guns
7)Less mirth
8)More death

I'm sure this list can be expanded upon, but it's a good start.

Oh, and the hair could use some loving abstinence from the smudge tool.

oh my god its a pika-girl....
to add to A. buttle's list:
- more bloodied weapons
- battle pumps (u know, those ridiculously tall high heels that every warrior woman has?)
- thinner thighs. right now they're bigger than her waist but maybe she's just built (been using that thigh master too much)

woot!

I'm probably one of the most immature person in the world, much like A. Buttle over there. But sometimes, there comes a time to be serious, and to be sincere, and respectful to other people. You must understand that everyone on this forum isn't 18+, or whatever, and the lack of respect to not use profanity has come to be a bothersome to me. Mostly from ripping what could be a 'cutesy' post ,to demand of blood and overall violence. Codax Dragon could be 10 years old for all we know, so could I. Maybe we could just tone down on it a little, or atleast, in particular post?

I know not of Codax, but I fear you ran her off. Maybe we should have some sort of regulation? Than again, maybe not. Have some dignity people, some self-restraint..

Just rambling off the top of my head,

although i don't approve much of the swearing either, but if u look in codax's profile u will see that the occupation is cognitive engineer. call me crazy, but usually 10 year olds don't work as cognitive engineers and being an engineer, and this being a very new post, i doubt we've scared anyone away because not eveyone is a loser like me and hangs around on the computer all day long but i see value in your point because there are some people offended by such language, but a.buttle was just joking. i think.

blood for art's sake is sweet, but not in extreme excess i don't know, i've always appreciated variety, away from the usual wizards and warriors (no offense, i like them just as well ), like that ballpoint rose on brown paper that one time.

as for the image, her arms are a little chunky, so are her legs. the far eye (her right) seems to be a little 'flat', her head is turned, so skew the eye a little. Your brushstrokes are a little rough, (perhaps you are using a mouse?). Solution: my friend N Pak doesn't have a tablet at home, and so most of his images are made without one. Instead, he uses a lot of paths in photoshop for his coloring, and i imagine a 'multiply' layer mode for seeing lines through color.

Honestly, I could care less about the language. I swear all too much, too often, too loud. But thats another story.

Im just saying, have some consideration before posting what you post.

Yo Kardis, g-money. I was just kidding. Who actually suggests "Less smiley shit," "More death," and "Less mirth" seriously? Indeed, have you ever called anyone a shit brick with the intention to hurt? Mellow. You. That's right.

As for the swearing, I felt it was contextually appropriate. I was, after all, suggesting "More nudity." It was to set a tone. I used my literary license and decided that profanity was necessary to convey the idea. What was the idea you ask? I don't know, but it was there. I think.

Nightmare, you fall under the protection clause as outlined in the new beaitude I added to the Random Musings forum. "Blessed are those who got my back, for their back shall be gotten a hundred fold."

Hi Codax, welcome to the board. Your linework is quite nice, only the light in your picture doesn't work at all. You should try to pick a virtual light source and develop your shadows and highlights from that. And her eyes look strange, like an iris in an iris...look at some reference manga/anime-works. One last thing: you used too many oranges, IMO, that makes it hard to make out shapes. Vary more in color and texture.
I hope this helps!

That was pretty funny Kardis, for some reason I really like the sentence "Honestly, I could care less about the language. I swear all too much, too often, too loud." Sounds a little like me in r/l...

oh my gawd, I can live without it! Where I have stumbled onto? Tentacles, pillage, blood, distruction, monsters? I couldn't defile my art like that. (My friends do it enough already). Chuckles uneasily, so do you think there's any room on this board for a cute artist?

Codax, we were just playing. Your picture is just fine and appropriate for the board. The tentacle thing was just a joke. Don't be scared... yet....

Oh, I'm still around, it's just that after this picture I was kinda burnt out. I couldn't sketch, CG, or even critique. Let me tell you about my last week

Wed - 4 sketches, 1CG, TFC till 1:30 AM
Thrs - 2 sketches, 2CG, TFC till 2ish AM
Fri - 3 sketches
Sat - Chirstmas Shopping then later that evening Coffeesketch did a sketch for me then inked it. After she inked it I started painting it on an animation Cel.
Sun - Stayed up all night Saturday working on painting that Cel...then when I finished the Cel, I passed out. I woke up a few hours later to give the present to my friend and was very tired.
Mon - Feeling really tired, but artisticly charged I did 10 sketches including the line art for the picture I posted.
Tues - Spent 5 hours making picture posted above went to sleep at 3:30a (+2 hours of misc tweeks)
Wed - Posted the finished CG then realized I hadn't slept much in days (I get up 6am to go to work)

I've been burnt since then. I'm doing a little better now, and was able to throw together a few goodies on Saturday. I should have another CG done by later 2nite(ie posted 2maro or so)

Codax
Feeling better, not quite as scared ;P
