hi, I am new here
0lley showed me this forum and I love it! and I like how people colour drawings here

here's my 1st attempt
not really good and definitely need suggestions...

I like your line work, it shows potential. Here's a few suggestions.. what did you do to that guys hair? It looks like you either used the smudge tool to much, or used the airbrush. Try to stay away from those tools. Most people recommend using the paintbrush tool, because you have greater control over opacity, even if you don't have a tablet. I think you should spend some time studying hair. Look at yourself in a mirror, and draw what you see. Hair isnt all splotchy like that.

The next thing I notice, is his left hand.. again, study up on them. Hands are hard to draw, I know, but keep trying. Look at your own hands. You are your best model.

Hmm, and also, the folds in his pants.. they dont look very natural. Again, observance is key to succesful drawing, even if it is in an anime or manga style.

As for the colors, I think you could use some more values, everywheres.. vary more between your lights and darks.

I'm sorry for ripping your picture to shreds.. I really think it shows promise. Keep at it.
