Like the veins you added. Great sculpture. Hope to see another one sooner or later Hehe.... all of your sculptures seem to be of busts though... try for something else. Maybe, a bowl of fruit.bananas...what not ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

Thanks for the comments..
I would do other things but my theme is emotion and a living thing is the only subject I can create to express that.
I need ideas for my other 2 sculptures... anyone? |

If your looking for a challenge, try an emotion that would be harder than say...eg angry and sadness. Like envy....maybe a little to hard, perhaps confusion or a cheeky expression with a smirk?.
It'd be more difficult but if you pulled it off it'd be quite the achievement.
just a thought |

Lookin' great, Optima. The subtlety of the vein on his forehead really adds alot to the piece. Nice to see that you used the comments from a variety of people of the forum to fix small things/add improvements. Really shows that this forum is one of the best places to learn and improve upon different aspects of art. Is that (and your previous sculptures) made of terra cotta clay? I only ask because it looks rather familiar (If not, sorry, I'm not really in to sculpting).
In response to your emotions theme...it really depends upon how candid you are trying to make the emotion. For example, in this piece, it's very easy to see that the emotion is rage and anger. If you're going for the candid type of piece, then yes, living things serve as a great source for emotional behaviors. However, if you were to go a different route with your next piece, say an abstract piece, then the emotion would not be as clear to the viewer; it would require deep thinking and interpretation. In abstract pieces such as this, a number of different forms and variation in thickness can sometimes invoke emotions in the viewers, rather than them looking at a portrayal of emotions. Or perhaps you may do something that will act as a stimuli for a certain emotion (Ie, for depression or sadness, a man coming home from work to find his wife laying on the floor, dead from a heart attack). Whatever you really want to do is your choice, just thought I'd throw in a few suggestions. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

Nicely clay model. Clay model is apparently something we do not see in the forums often.

looks really nice great job. anatomically though it feels like the ears are too far back and the eyes are slightly too close into the head's center as well as maybe a bit too small. other than that, schweeet.

Anatomically the entire scull shape is wrong, but hey - who said reality matters!
