Hi, gang! For those who've been paying attention, here's the next character that I've created. She also lives in the same world as the previously posted images (Tank, the Grungor, etc)! Feel free to check my site out for the pix...
Here's the girl! Her name is Aymi (pronounced "Amy"). She's a ball of fire, prone to angering easily, but she's a very fun, boy-crazy girl. She has a crush on Tank, but he's too busy to notice (typical guy!) Here's the pic:
As always, feedback and comments are very appreciated! Looking forward to your responses!
peace,

Very nicely done. You got that anime style down good. But, there are a few areas that look a bit flat. The face and the skirt mainly. A little bit of shadows/highlights here and there on those items wouldnt hury. But anyway, really like thsoe cocconuts. "I got a lovely bunch of cocconuts..diddly diddly...there they are sitting in a row..." |

very very nice! neat colors, too. but i think that since you're making her shoulders and arms have more form than just sticks, you should make her torso a teensy more shapely.

to much green i think, and i'd be a ball of fire too if i had a coconut strapped to my chest !
cool character design though. i'd maybe add some strands to her hair, to plasticky looking i think right now. great coloring, cel-shaded style

Hey, thanks for the quick responses!
EviLToYLeT: Yeah, the skirt stayed a bit flat. It'll be better with the next image. I agree with you. And btw, coconuts are good... mmm yeah!
solidtransient: yeah! I thought the same thing too! hahahh! Fortunately, it's green, and not blue. Thanks for the compliment.
Nova: Yeah, her arms are a bit more defined than the torso. Good observation. I'm really trying to keep a thin look to her, so I want to avoid a more "defined" torso, but maybe I could taper it a bit and give her more of a waist...? Hmm...
CapnPyro: About the abundancy of green... I'm designing these characters with color-coordination in mind. That is, each character should be represented by a certain color, almost. Tank's colors are Red/Khaki-ish, and Aymi's are Green/Tan-ish (coconut bra, w00t!). As for the hair... nice observation. It is a bit plasticky (?). I think a bit more shading for some strands would be a great idea. Thanks for the comments!
Anyone have anything else to add? I'm really trying to do my best, so feel free to point out things in particular you like or don't care for!
Thanks!!!!

Great job g:tech!
You didn't let me down hah
No just kidding! I've already been waiting for the new character and now it's up. Good work man I really like your style! Just something couldbe done for the skirt... where the rope is winded round the body... I think there could be some wrinkles if u know what I mean
Keep up the good work!

i think she'd look cute with a necklace maybe? like the one Akuma wears in street fighter, just a bunch of large round balls on a string. yah, i agree with the waist, it's really underdefined, if you were to give her larger hips (slightly) or have a wrinkle or two. i really like the simplfication, i just now noticed that her legs are perfectly straight, it's a great style you have there.
Or maybe an eyebrow ring! The girl needs to accesorize hehe ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |
