Hey all. This was an experiment in shading that I developed mostly from this site. please tell me what you think about it. If you've visited my site... you'll probably get the quote at the bottom.
Oh, and please come by the site if never have. I'd love to see your names in the guestbook ^_^

The shading is rather nice on the face area. But one thing you need to consider is giving the hair some shading as well. Otherwiswe, I really like it may be a little better if you drew in shoulders or osmething up to the edge of the page so it looks like you didn't just get lazy. |

It's not lazy. It's simple. I just wanted a face to practice shading on.
Shame on you, thinking me lazy. |

I had the same thought as cybergod...
If the visible eye takes up that much space then the other eye would defintely have to be somewhat visible on the other side of the nose. Overall though I think you did a really nice job.

Let's face it, comedy is a dead art form. Now tragedy, ha ha ha, that's funny! |

The eye is a stylistic thing... though honestly, I tend to do it when the head is further turned away from the viewer. So, yeah, you're right. ^_^
I didn't do much thinking on the inking because I didn't really intend to post this on my site. But then I descided it would be good practice for the new shading technique I made.
In conclusion: I was wanted shading practice. S'all. |
