Yep, it's about that time boys and girls, where I call upon the good people among us to come forth and tear an image apart for the amusement of others. Well, I guess I hope that doesn't happen but here's an image colored from a sketch I posted awhile back. Was wondering if there's anything that stands out as needing work before I make a final pass on rendering the details and cleaning this thing up.

It looks great man , except for the hand on the left of the image , something is wrong ... but I don't know quit what ... I think it should bend more downwards and not upwards since he just receaved an amount of pressure on his hand forcing it downwards since he lost his sword , so I think that's it but still it looks great man
Could you post the skecth too please ? I am wondering how cool that must have looked ( I love lineart )

nice line of action in that pose! I like it! the only little tiny crit I have is...the axe, try turm the axe abit to make the perspective stronger, now I have to look twice to see its a axe, if you turned it abit it would make the whole picture stronger.

Alright, I guess there was a reason I didn't spend too much time on the axe and the hand on the left =) I'll have to see if I can do a quick fix, maybe tilt the axe towards the right a tad. The hand I may or may not get rid of but if I fix it then, yes, it should be bending down a bit rather than up. As for the original line art, I posted it in a thread a couple days ago, no doubt buried by now so here is the original. 20% Warm Grey Prismacolor Marker on tan pastel paper, gone over with ebony and white pencil and then inked (boy does that paper soak up ink!)

I like the color job. The thing bugging me is the foot in the background being larger than the foot in the foreground.

Hey i like seeing that picture colored. I remember seeing that picture in your other post. I commented about the axe then too. Rotate it to the right a bit. If you think about it, he is hitting that guys sword and i'm sure the other guy wasn't just holding it there for him to hit. He probably had some tension on it, so when the axe hits the sword out of his hand the axe would follow the angle of the sword a bit. It's not like the axe is going straight through an apple or something but it is being deflected by the sword a bit.

I hope that makes a little sense.

Hey Flint, it's looking alot better now that it's colored. Same crits with the axe as it seems the weapon would be following the line of the arm, since it appears he was swinging in an inward motion as the sword came up.

btw, where's his bow? maybe make it lieing behind him as a tossed away afterthought? he's got the arrows after all..

very good work!

Hrmmmmm.... ok my opinion on the arm thing. Since the man guys axe is hitting down on the front of the sword, the hilt of it goes up. But since the off screen guy trys to hold on to it, his arm would naturally swing up i think. Ahh hell... go test it out
