I'll be off to Munich tomorrow, returning Friday. Going to visit some museums with my art class, going to drink some good Bavarian beer and going to meet an old friend of mine. Haven't seen her in ~ 2 years .
Have a good time and never stop to draw.

i went to munich to visit some relatives awhile back. there must have been some anti-american festival going on that week, cause i could have filled an olympic sized pool with all the saliva that was used to spit at me. on the way back from a club i made the mistake of speaking german when asking for directions...i almost didnt live through that one.

anyways, it was a beautiful city.
i really enjoyed the park.

Well back again.... Was pretty fun. Some of the works by 19th century artists just blew me away. They show such an incredible control of their lines.....
Still the lines aren't everything, you could really see the difference between by someone who just knew how to do clean lines and someone who also had an intimate knowledege of composition, colours and lighting.

Nightlife sucked though, the waitresses at a beer house got unfriendly because we had the wrong German accent. At one of the beer houses we tried we actually got thrown out because they claimed that all tables were already reserved. So for fun one of us went back in and asked for a table in the best resemblance to a Bavarian accent he could produce, and he actually got a table right away. And later we got stuck in a disco with crappy music and atmosphere. We then got our pictures made for publishing on the singles page of a magazine and put some weird stuff onto our characteristics forms.

FaithInChaos: I'm sorry if you were ill treated. As you can see above even we as Germans were not well treated. This is strange I wouldn't have thought that Munich people had such a bad attitude, especially since I have a good friend there.
I noticed that there was an incredibly high amount of Japanese tourists around there, maybe the Munich people are just sick of tourists.....though that must not be an excuse to mistreat them in any way.
