all punks i know hate nofx these days.. i think it's coz they sold out.. too bad!
but IMO they used to be good up to 'punk in drublic', like so many punkbands (offspring, lag wagon..)
..and they are punk (californian-punk we call them here), but again, just my opinion!

anyway, gonna complete my list..

selfish
..but alive
spermbirds
blackeyed blonde
good riddance
therapy?
the cure
ea80
the toy dolls
blind guardian
propagandhi
dropkick murphys
soundtracks (the rock, the crow, natural born killers, the matrix...)
...
but actually, forget about all this ! nirvana tops them all

Aahhhhhhh any of you guys ever heard this darktech/drumnbass track by Cradle Of Filth (dunno if it's a remix or not really) called "Perverts Church"? Hell it's cool... eerie and subdued, great moody dance music. Not like their blazing blackmetal stuff at all...

"California-punk"....tragic. There are still a lot of great (not pop) punk bands in California -- check out Narcoleptic Youth for one. And, of course, Infected.

NOFX didn't sell out... They just got popular for some reason. They did everything they could to stay underground. They refused to let MTV play their videos, and they didn't switch to a big label. I don't know why they got so popular...

SENSELESS APOCALYPSE!!
I wanna go to Japan..

yesterday I saw "nasum" and "skitsystem" live.. nasum was great.. som many smoking metalheads in the crowd I couldn't breathe though, ruined my plans of thrashing around like a lunatic :/

listened to this week:
where fear and weapons meet
robert johnson and the punchdrunks
aphex twin
jarre
the pricks
and finally.. ALTEMARK!! you have to check his stuff, it is so damn amazing!!
http://hem.passagen.se/~cyberc/mp3.htm

try "tripple oppression" and "cost efficiency sacrifice" to begin with..

I just liked this topic. Music is a big part of my artwork, I often wish I had musical talent as well as my artistic talent. But I don't so I follow music very closely. Mostly metal though. Here is a list of music that inspires me.

Pantera (all time favorite)
Slipknot (favorite new band) total kick butt music
Static-X
Machinehead
Old Metalica
Crazy Town
Papa Roach
Fear Factory
Sepultura
Soulfly
Nail Balm
Primer 55
Substance D (another unknown favorite)
System of a Down
Rage Against the Machine
(hed)PE
Deftones
Downset
Coal Chamber (first album)
Powerman 5000
Sevendust
Staind
Cold
Korn (first 2 albums and a little off of Children of the Korn)
Tool
A Perfect Circle (maynard from Tools new band)
SpineShank
Snot
UltraSpank

I think thats the majority of them, hehe, I'm sure all you metal heads will agree that most of the bands I listed have made some great music. Anyhow, I am new to this forum so go check out my site.
