Whoa.. just picked up the Moby "Play" CD to listen to.. very cool. I'm surprised nobody listed the BladeRunner soundtrack. Vangelis kicks.

By the way I broke my Barry Manilow CD so it looks like I might get the new Mandy CD as a tribute. (I'm joking by the way)

chapel- when someone lists Vangelis, it must automatically be assumed he digs *all* of Vangelis's stuff. of friggin course the Blade Runner soundtrack gets played aaalot.

one more kiss dear, the ultimate in cornflakeboxgoth.

Hmmm seems to be a lot of metal flying around here. I used to listen to that kinda stuff in highschool but not too much anymore. I am a huge fan of all kinds of music so if I listed everything I listen too it would take up way to much space. But what I mainly listen to now is Phish almost all the time, I can just close my eyes while listening and go off into a wierd land of psycadelic images...kinda like being high without drugs...very inspirational. Anyway I also listen to moe. string cheese incident, leftover salmon, grateful dead, santana, grand funk railroad, Led Zeppelin, samples, james brown, george clinton and the Pfunk all stars, steppenwolf, rage against the machine, korn, deftones, wu-tang, jurassic 5, ....and the list goes on.

Uhm, everyone has different tastes and not everyone is going to agree with them obviously. I don't think comments like that help or contribute anything here though.

When someone says "punk" and others think "NOFX", there's a problem.....when someone says "punk and ska" like there's some sort of connection, there's a problem.............

Anyway -- yesterday I did a nice violently expressionistic piece in acrylics while listening to Conflict's Deploying All Means Necessary Issue II about 5 times in a row... Others might be Crass, Rudimentary Peni, Subhumans, GG Allin, Dead Kennedys, the Germs, TSOL, One Way System...etc....

Fun...all my posts about bashing NOFX and Tin's choices of music have been just joking around.

Anyway, I didn't mean to make a connection between punk and ska....just saying I don't like either of them

And I consider NOFX to be punk.......

If you're talking about what I said there, I was only referring to what normalman said.

Hehe, I wanted to start a thread like this, but figured it had zero to do with the topic... oh well:

Apollo 440
Cafe del Mar
Carl Cox
Chemical Brothers
Chrystal Method
DJ Sasha
DJ Tiesto
Fatboy Slim
John Digweed
Leftfield
Paul Oakenfold
Paul van Dijk
Prodigy
Sash!
Underworld

Actually, I listen to all kinds of music (hell, I even list to the Backstreet Boys once in a while), but mostly dance, trance and chemical.
