This is a picture I did way back in 1992, I think I was in 9th grade. Anyway, I revamped it for the D--- C--- showdown topic. I just thought it would be interesting to show that some ideas never stray too far from me.
this is the old:
and the new:
Its kind of a depature from my usual style.

very cool, to see the progression. One question. Why did you lose the (fingers) on the bats wings? I kind of liked it better in the original, not the style, but the understanding you illustrated. And one more comment on the mouse, his far ear (the one to the viewers left) seems like we're looking at the inside of it, not the outside like iut should be. It appears indented, but from that view it shouldn't.
Otherwise, good work!

Flexible Elf: Was that the white one-eyed mouse with a panicking sidekick ?
Can still remember the song...
At first glance, itt reminded me of MightyMouse (or was it Supermouse ?) as well.
Stan Lee is planning on releasing some flash episodes of it. (got the info from AWN)

Thanks everyone for your thoughts.
General Confusion-I lost the fingers on the bat cause I wanted to simplify it a little more. THanks for the heads up about the ear.
egerie-I loved mighty mouse as a kid. That and spaceman spiff are what inspired this character.
Katana-like a fox, huh.
Flexible Elf-never saw danger mouse, but I did come up with a character like that when I was little. |

First Thanks for your coments at my "Happy people dancing in the moonlight". http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/Forum2/HTML/007419.html
I love your picture, and I like a lot to see your original version too!!!
That way is really how we see how much our skills have improved.
This showdown picture is... LOVELY!!!
If you have time to do a background of a city on perspective "picada" replacing the degradation, adding a logo and some "fake" credits you will have one of the most (if not the most) beautiful animation poster ready to print!!!
Here you have a (really) rough sketch of a wanna-be (unfinished) background... (Its obvious that I have not the skills of Liquid! and spooge ) but at less I can send you my idea...
It seems more a SuperNES videogame cover ;;; Do you remember "Sparkster: Rocket Adv." from Konami?
Ah!, And I have been digging in your web-site and really love your whole stuff, and you see to be a real "rocket-jet-back-lover" !!!
See ya.
Note: If you want you can check other of my drawings here: http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/Forum2/HTML/005942.html |
