Hi all, i'm trying to do some "fast" images just for practice. My intention was to do at least two or three each week, working about one or two hours on each one.

I did this ones last week:

Copying from a photo. I was interested in the position of the head as well as painting a kid since i never draw kids. However, the head's not in the same position as the reference so i just stoped working on the image .

This one with no reference, i got quickly tired of it.

I still find difficult to get correct proportions when painting, guess i'm doomed to line work.

They're not finished and i'm not going to work more on this ones. Maybe i'll post new ones on this thread if i keep on doing them (i want my thread of crap too ).

Thanks for reading.

The return of the speed pics...

I really like the first one ! Very vibrant.
I don'T know if you're looking for crits, but your second painting could use a bit more contrast. Unless of course the ether feel to it is intentional

thanks for the comments.

egerie: crits are always welcome! yeah, the last one could use a lot more of contrast, and being so blurred doesn't help either.

Anthony J: thanks. sorry, but probably i'm not going to work on it anymore because i want to do some other things now.

if somebody is interested here's the link to the photo:

i copied it from the magazine, the colors on the scan are a bit different. looking at the photo makes me feel a bit embarrassed now ... have a good laugh :b

Weeell, this is completely unrelated to the topic, but i didn't want to start a new thread for this.

I've just redesigned my site, i'd like to hear what you think about it. Also, it would be great to know if it works ok in your browser because i'm using JavaScript now and it may have a few bugs (i already know there are some problems with the navigation bar and Netscape 6).

There are some new images, mostly old stuff, so maybe visiting it isn't a complete waste of time if you've already been there.

Thanks.
