This is my first piece with a complete scene and not just a character. I'm quite proud of it so far.

I would like to hear what you guys and gals think of it. Is there any major flaws that needs to be fixed?

I believe I have found a style of painting that I'm comfortable with. I have worked on this image for about 3-4 hours spread out over the last week, I'll probably finish it this weekend. Speed is important to me as I don't have much time and quickly loose my patience if time drags out too much.

This is really cool. Great lighting on this one - the green colour makes it look very eerie.

If I have some complain, even the smallest one, it would be that the necromancer looks a little bit short. But who's to say necromancers can't be short?

Ok, I think it looks great, I also especially like the green. First thing i noticed was his right leg. It looked weird at first but the more I looked at it the more it looked like his leg was just bent.

Thanks guys (edit: oops, I forgot that you are a girl, Enayla )! It's really appreciated

Yeah the necromancer is short, although that's mainly because he's old and crooked

Delucubus, I think the main reason the leg looks weird is that I haven't really succeeded with the folds of the fabric. I think I'll give it another try after work tomorrow.

Great pic so far. I love the dark fealing, you've got that down I think. Just a couple of things. Maybe bring out more levels of darkness to give more dimention to the work. Also, the work is just a bit too fuzzy for me. Maybe define the lines a bit more. Overall a killer work and your not even done. Good job!

Thanks guys!!

Sigurd, I'm not sure what you mean with more levels of darkness. Could you explain it to me?

Yes, I know the work is fuzzy. This is the new way of drawing that I like. Previously I used to paint each part of the picture in full detail before moving on to the next part. But after reading advice from many people on this board I've been trying to instead paint the entire picture as fast as possible and not spend so much time on the details. Once that is done I'll go back and refine the details that need it. This is very good as you spot your mistakes before you have spend a lot of time on them and it isn't so frustrating fixing the errors. It's also a lot more fun to paint this way when you can see the direction the painting is going. If you don't already paint this way I suggest you try it yourself.

No, I didn't have Diablo in mind when I did this painting. I intend to use it as a frontpage for my homepage, though it's not exactly a witchlord.

Besides the necromancer in Diablo 2 was not old and crooked, and he didn't wear a cape. Or were you thinking of the Wanderer (Diablo)? He didn't summon the creatures, they just appeared around him.

Can you tell that I'm a fan of Diablo? I'm really looking forward to the expansion.

I guess I mean you may need to work up the dif from light to dark more. It had a bit of a flat feal to it. That just may be because your not done with it
