i dunno, i used to draw lots of anime characters, but after years i'm bored with the faces...how they all look so similiar...i know its because thats the style they are drawn in. I still like pikachu  cause he rocks
but i like realism
i think it improves the skills

i think its a great start! i always have problem with profile cuz the chin always looks weird. however, his head looks really big compared to his body. look at that arm!! its so skinny.... if he was a female runway model, this wouldn't be a problem.
also, his forehead seems very slanting, right from the bridge of his nose to the top of his head. usually guys have deep set eyes, which means at the end of the nose, the slant goes outward and then slants back again. i know that doesn't make much sense, but look at a picture of someone's profile, preferably a man's and u'll get what i'm saying hopefully also, his head seems oddly pointy at the top back, and the actual back is really flat.
so i guess to sum it up, u have to look at a real head and figure out proportion. the problem with anime style is that its based on real proportion. therefore, its easier to learn realistic drawings first before anime style. but of course i'm being a massive hippocrit because i did exactly the same thing and still haven't changed. keep on drawing!

Well i have been trying to get the anime style down for the past few days, and after hundreds of small eye,moith, face sketches, i finally tried a quick little sketch of a guy. This was made in like 15 minutes with a pencil then scanned and i took paintbrush in photoshop to darken some lines etc..and fix the face..mouse drawin is hard.anyway, gimme some critz on my first anime man...also if anyone is bored or something, give this dude a color job in your style, i kinda wanna see how other people think he should be colored.Here is the little Sketch.
