I've been wanting to get this off my chest for a while now, with all the in-progress .JPGs lying on different temp directories at my harddrive.

I worked all night to gather the pics and put some explanative text around them, so don't be surprised if some of it sounds a little sleepy.

Why am I doing this?
Well, I've learned a lot by studying other people's step by step explanations to their paintings, and feel someone here might find a useful thing or two hidden somewhere between the steps...

Anyway, here are the pics that are broken down on my site (click the link below each pic):

Hope this was worth the trouble :)
Have a good night.

hey thanx it's always nice having beneffit from other people's experiences - maybe I should start to make step by steps, so people can tell me where I started to fail ...

One question - I think u used a tablet - is there a way to do such brushstrokes with a mouse? I often tried to use the techniques you, Spooge and most of the people here use, but never got smooth results

thanks everyone, I should have asked for comments about the text in there, but it's a little late now and no one mentioned it so I guess it was useful to some extent.

solitaire:
Haha, I guess that could be a reason for making tutorials ;)
About the tablet thingy, yes I've got one, and mouse really isn't much compared to the cordless pen + pressure sensitivity combination. With pen, the lines really live by varying in width and opacity, while mouse lines are generic and single-colored. I know that making good-looking stuff with mouse is possible, but takes a lot more effort and gets you some strain injury really fast.

Okke: hehe :]

Ah well, no one's gonna visit this anymore so blah, I can babble what ever I want. Bli bla blo, yada yada pl pl. HEY Look, I made up a palindrome a while ago: "Salla, ota pika-Aki Patoallas." (It's in Finnish, dummy!) ok im done bye
