lol check out his ass! :)
Nice ass there.. it's tight.
Anyways i liked the 3dLUVER link you gave me, it has lots of info that i need to learn 3d max! don't say this often (because im a bum) but thanx!
Weeeeeee....
PS: i started on model of a tank with splines (the drawing things) and then extruding it and sometimes editing vertexes in MeshEdit. It kinda looks blocky but i hope it'll be better with some material on when i finish..
and hey for caterpillar thing, would you just make one block and clone it 200 times? hehe.
peace ousside!

Yeah, that's what he said, he told everyone but game-makers to shut up.
I'm not sure what to say about the walking style, except for that it looks a little troubled, robotic-like.
It's like the knees were made of rubber or some elastic material, and well-.. im not sure what I'm after here, just noting what I see. Don't know how to correct it, really.

Actually, Dan, you are technically a game maker (Orangeyfat Shooter [and the sequel])
Yes, I would suggest you learn the basics of animation and try to apply those as much as possible (squash, stretch, anticipation, weight, slowing in and out, flexibility, timing, etc.) By learning these, your animation will improve by over 200%. One great book, if you'd like to learn on your own, that I would suggest is The Animator's Workbook by Tony White. It is for drawn animation, but it really shows the basics of animation and how to create fluent, realistic motion. Many 3-d books and tutorials rely more on the technical aspect rather than the traditional aspect of animation. |

hehe the sequel isn't out. however, some guys showed me what they have programmed for it. it's in 3D!! woohooo and it looks neat.
well, since i guess you're right, i'll comment. "ditto what he said" learning 2D principles of animation are basically the exact same when you use them in 3D.

ok...I would like coments from EVERYONE, but ALSO those in the game industry!...is that clear enough for ya?? *s*
Thank you for the input..and yes, I need to learn more of the basic..but where will I find the time. By day I am a hard working multimedia designer and by night a couch potato...so, its not like I have all the time in the world. *s* And I hope I will get better, that animation there is the first time I try footsteps, and when they where put down I had NO idea about how to make him walk better..but as I watched, I saw that he never lifted his feet, so I fixed that...then I saw his hip was not moving much..so I added some more motion (but I will ad more)..and so on..so I am kinda feeling my way through this...since I reallyu dont have time to sit down and learn straight for a week or so.....take some time here and there inbetween deadlines. *s*
But I will try and learn more...I promise.
