Ahh ok. Well the image is looking a bit flat right now. You kind of need to make the guy riding on the .....fish(?)... stand out more. You can do this by emphasizing the shadows and emphaziging/adding highlights. Also, try to change colors because the background kind meshes with all of it. I'd recommend that you outline it with black lines to make it stand out. Otherwise I like the image and the hidden skull in the background.  |

Is that a hobbit riding a skeletal blowfish while the grim spectre of death floats by?
Wonderful concept (seriously).
The painting style is... different. Pretty surreal. It's maybe a little vibrant for my taste (I tend to prefer lower saturation tones), but given how strange the image itself is, it might not be such a bad thing that the style mirrors that.
Hmm... not too much there in the way of constructive suggestions. Sorry! I like the pic though, overall.
EDIT - Oh, I do have one crit: The fish seems less textured than the rest of the piece. I think you could develop that area more.

Thanks everyone this gives me a start with what I should do first. I am currently seeking the original file...this should be fun I have over 1000 CDs..good thing they're labeled hehe Keep the crits, suggestions, comments and opinions coming.

no seriously, my only suggestion is try to make the man and the fish stand out more, maybe give them color, and put a glow of some sort around them =]
