It's a good start, things to watch out for are where your holes for the windows and tire have been cut out, they look like booleans or stencils (depends what prog your using). Also though it looks like a wip it would be nice to see some body seems around the doors and hood, headlights etc.. The two structurally odd spots to me are the door, though its a nice organic shape its coming off a little too molded to me, namely where it pinches in the middle of the door. That and the vents coming out the back. The form doesn't seem to follow function, making those detail look like they've just been booleaned in. Try and build up a little ridge around where those vents have been placed (you can still make it look very elegant and streamlined doing this). Hard to visualize with just words I know

Its looking great so far, it's the little details that are going to bring this one to life, headlights, body trim, try adding disc brakes behind the wheels that show through, that kind of stuff. great start, keep it up

it'd be awful weird looking through the front window of that thing, if you were to get in it, judging by where the door would be youd have the roof support right in your peripheral vision and to your left. but anyway, cool design, looks a little funky without headlights or reflectors or anything.

WEll even though it is concept.. you must not forget the small things that count. Headlights, exhaust pipe.. winshield wipers. haha etc. But anyway, like it, really great. Looks like the lighting is a bit extreme as well. Wierd areas is the door area as it seems pincheed.

[edit] didn't read failsafes post.. wrote same thing he did[/edit]

Hey thanks for the comments, in my design i kinda went by the style for this car www.mclarencars.com but changed a lot of things i didnt like. I Do plan on putting headlights windshield wipers etc. I already have tailpipes and brake lights. About the sides of the doors i'm workin on that. The door probably wont go to the bottom of the car anyways since they'll be the kind that rotates up from the front.

anthony- I used 3d Studiomax 3.1 I made it in NURBS and converted it to a mesh to add windows and stuff.

failsafe- yea i do need to put the body seams, i already had a version of this car that had all that stuff but there were a lot of things i didnt like about the body so i went back and changed it from the nurbs i had saved. I'm gonna take your advice about the vents and add detail to them. I've been trying to find what the disc brakes should look like, any help?

This looks like a cool start. As far as proportions...I'm guessing this is a single seat race car? Cause it looks sooo narrow in the passenger compartment...

another thing that would really help it along is an interior. Keep in mind that you dont have to go crazy on the interior, it depends on how close your going to get to the car, you can often get away with low geometry that's been well textured. the reason you want this is because you need the windows to be tranparent for them to look right but if they're transparent and you see into a body that has no interior, well you get the point. As for brakes there's got to be tonnes of reference on the net, or just go outside (oh my god leave the computer?!?!) and check out how brakes show through the rims of cars. I'm a big texture fan so I'll refrain from too many more comments till your ready to texture this bad boy. I know your using max but you might find this site interesting
