i think apple sucks when it comes to marketing strategy. they have allways sucked in that department. in the 80's they should have opened up to the idea of clones, that was a bad move. i believe its the main reason why support for the os is so small.
more recently, they fucked up by releasing the same thing in 30 different colors over the span of a couple years. i allready have one imac, i dont need another one. plus computers are expensive, im not going to buy a new one just because its case is colored different. steve jobs might have the money to buy imacs as if they were pokemon cards, but i dont. the imac might have saved their ass, but it also became their downfall. they should have let the imac die, and moved on.
instead they make those retarded ibooks with all the assorted ishit, ugly and expensive vending-machine plastic crap.
im just glad im handy with a can of spray paint and res-edit.

Apple is pretty much a dead body, but still breathing thanks to rich fans (heh, all mac users are rich). And another good deal of businesses that purchase MACs as 'best computer graphics platform' although we all know how true that is.. but old peoples who dont know jack about computers think that so... Mac lives |

Well, this years MacWorld Expo has come and gone. I was wondering what everyone thinks about Apple's marketing strategy? I mean with the PC market, they release new products and accessories all year long. With Apple, it seems like they just show up once a year and go, "Here ya go, here's all this new shit...See you next year...". I don't want this to turn into a which platform is better thread, I just wanted to find out what the board thinks about this strategy in marketing.
