Does anyone know of any cool search engines, or archives of images ( photos) , so if I wanted to draw a shoe, I could get some actual pics of shoes.
Its easy to get a ref of a girl, but of an object ?

Hi there hew, not seen you about on the forum for a bit.
Try http://www.photovault.com as they have a huge selection of photos. Mind you, each photo has the word photovault stamped on it a few times, but not enough to ruin the photo. |

Another possibility is to go to a site that specializes in the object you're looking for. Like if you want a picture of a shoe, try going to a popular clothing or shoe website like stevemadden.com or veganwares.com. If you want a picture of an apple, try going to harrydavid.com. Wondering how to do an antique looking map for a game you're working on? Try www.raremaps.com.
Of course that won't work for everything, but I think you'll find you'll get a more interesting variety of objects on a site that specializes in that object than if you just do a search on an image site.

Take off your clothes. It's OK - I'm an artist.

associated press has a site that can be viewed at school or at the public library...awesome collection of press photos on anything you can think of... just do a search for AP photos...or associated press photos.

Why don't you just take your shoe off and look at it?
