clockworkbacon couldn't get this on his server to post. So here it is. I realy like this. I hope he continues to do more of these.
As for the details, I'll leave that up to him. I think he said he did these with markers. I'm not sure, so don't quote me on that.
Here goes..enjoy!

Hey, I really like these, and I'm surprised no one replied to them.
The one in the upper left corner looks like it was done in Photoshop. I have to say that the one done with traditional media pops a lot more. I'd like to see the face detail done that way... |

I still can't connect to my webserver...grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Anyway, thanks Sam.
They were both done in markers, but the portrait of the chieftan was touched up in photoshop. Yes, I plan to develop these characters more and maybe model them in Studio Max. I was thinking of them like an Indian tribe, except the head dress in real display feathers. I plan on doing a portrait of the chief like those classic photos of Native American tribesmen.
What do you think? I was real happy with how the marker drawings turned out, I'll use them more in the future.

I *really* like the one on the left ! Interesting.. those marks are natural skin pigmentation or cosmetics ?
Can't wait to see more

I strongly suggest you continue with the idea of the native american portrait!
Great idea you got going there.
