What the hell does when get a girlfriend when he is out of cash and its her birthday in about 12 hours.

wow.. 12 hours to go huh? You are screwed and not in the way you hope.

I'd suggest maybe write a poem and put it to a picture.

Things that don't cost anything are always MUCH better and more memorable than something from a store.

Draw her a bubble bath with candles and smell goods, give her a foot massage with her favorite lotion, make a meal she really likes, do a chore that she usually does but absolutely hates, draw her a picture or write a poem (as already suggested), clean her desk or wash her car, put together a box or a photo album of your favorite pictures together, make "love coupons" (ie: this coupon good for blah blah blah)... man the possibilities are endless. =)

[edit: I forgot to mention picnics! I LOVE picnics! If the weather is bad, have a picnic inside!

Its true dude, women adore the sensitive side of guys. Seeing them get all finicky with candles and herbal esences etc really gets them....err...going.

Flowers work - but they work better if they aren't just a plain bouquet of red roses and baby's breath. A bouquet of stargazer lilies or orchids is VERY nice. If you insist on roses, try a bouquet of lavender roses or fire and ice roses. But if red if your color, try to find beautiful full roses served with something other than baby's breath (those tiny white flowers if you don't know what it is). It's just so generic.

Another REALLY nice thing to do is pick flowers yourself. I bet she won't ever forget it if you do

Wow! The fret is over and i cleared it without breaking a sweat. What i did was that i made her a cd, on it, a comic book on how we first met drawn with cruddy stick figures! Hehehe, she was so happy! I got a kiss!
