First attempt at drawing with a tablet. It's basically a touch-up of an old pencil sketch I did of a photo I found somewhere in a magazine (If memory serves me correctly).

The image was done entirely in photoshop, using no filters other than gaussian blur for softening up some rough spots. It contains 3 layers: The background, a black/white image I painted with the airbrush and a layer set to color where I did the actual coloring.

Comments/critique/hints as to where I could learn to draw with a tablet? =)
(Yes, I know the signature looks like something done by a 5-year-old with crayons, but that's what my handwriting looks like at 4am ;P )

Looks to me like you already know how to use a tablet. You should see some of my first attempts... Actually, no, no you shouldn't. Anyway, nice pic. That's an awesome coloring job.

That's because you don't know how long it took me to get it right It took ages to get anything that looked even remotely decent. (Not to mention about 20 failed attempts and a broken glass) Besides, I think the sketch rather than my touch up deserves most credit. (Even if her head is way too tall :P )

Thanks for the comments anyway. =)

Hey, wow, looks great! I like how you kept the edges really sharp, I'm having a bitch of a time keeping things sharp. seeing stuff like this just kills me even more! *hangs head in shame* Anyway... Couple things: The shapes on either side of the neck are pretty different, but this might be on purpose. And the whites of the eyes are unshaded. I did the same thing on the piece I posted, but you, unlike me, will probably have no problem fixing it. Well, I'll shut up now. Great job!

D'oh! Forgot the eyes! =/

Thx. I'll fix it when I get home from school (ebil physics midterm )

The neck is like that because, well, because it was like that on my sketch. ;P I'm guessing she's leaning to the side. Well, either that, or I'm even worse at symmetry than I remember.

As for the sharpness of edges, it's really simple. I'll explain when I get back.
