I like the pic a lot, but the floor looks way to shiny, looks like water. Take the reflective qualities of the floor surface down a bit.

u been watching starship troopers? hehe looks kool beside the fact that the floor looks like water, dont know if thats what you wanted, but it takes away from the office. and the desk and chairs look real plane, so i dont feel futuristic in this pic at all, looks like a normal office to me. Get creative with the desk and chairs and make them more rounded type of shapes, maybe them feel cold, maybe add some chrome, just some thoughts, the pillars are a nice touch.

Very nice, but I think the reflections are a bit overdone... some areas are pure white. for example area under desk. |

made with Inspire?
its good! better than i can do
ohyeah, do lower the reflections on the floor, and even though the room is kinda bring and reflective, and there are lights on the other side of the room the windows should still stick out a bit more as a main light source because they are the largest ones in the room.
and add dirt to things! something i never ever notice 3d artist do is add dirt to things! to make things look more real you make them look worse, cause nothing in real life is really that smooth, or that shiny, or that "mint"
but its really good! i like it a lot. the eagles for some reason reminded me of beetlejuice...and the left globe looks a bit weird now that i look at it more....hmm.

Nice but do something about the buildings outside, they really bother me. Add stuff around the place it looks too empty. And do not add any dirt if this is about to be a futuristic pic OR add lots of dirt and make the room a dump but DO NOT do somethign in the middle.

The wall seems awfully thin, perhaps only a few inches. Doesn't seem to have much structural mass... that and the brown texture make it look like it's made of cardboard.
Shiny floors are usually very smooth... the combination of high gloss and the irregular texture makes it look like the custodial staff just went through with a wet mop. |

over all it's pretty good, I like the eagle globe combo thingys. I think you've heard the opion on the floor and I would have to agree. If you want a 'futuristic' look, try to do more with the buildings outside the window. Between the globes, pillars, and sparce room, it seems a more imperialist type of building outside would fit (think Big Brother type of architecture -- very dominating, leering, strong)
One tutorial I found that is most excellent is one of Steven Stahlberg's: http://www.optidigit.com/stevens/tutorial/workshop2.html
-- granted he focuses on some Alias features, but pay attention to how he will bevel corners and such.
There's also some other VERY good thoughts in this tutorial that apply to more than just 3D |
