I personally like Photoshop. I like to know what you good artists use...

If I use any at all it's a Combination of Paint Shop Pro (for Browsing Pictures and Viewing Stuff) and Photoshop (for everything else).
But mostly I just stick with the bog-standard Pencil + Paper. |

I wasn't aware that 3DSMax was a drawing program.
You might want to add Painter to the list... and if you're going to include 3D programs, you might add Lightwave, Maya and Softimage.

I guess most people would stick with the version that came out when they started.. when I started digital arts I used photoshop 5.5 and I thought it's not nessesary to upgrade.
