Hi there. I've been reading this forum for quite a while now (ever since January 2000) but I've never really 'gotten into the groove' of joining discussions/critiquing, etc. I finally built up the nerve to break through and say something

Anyway, unlike most people, I'm not going to post my best piece thus far in my life. Instead, I am going to post what I consider to be a rather disappointing piece, done in about 30 minutes as an experimentation of pattern repeating (in this case, somewhat stippling).

This piece was started as a few lines while listening to some trance music on shoutcast (just out of boredom). I never tried this style before, so I just gave it a quick whirl (this is by far the most dramatic style change I have done in quite some time). Investigation and experimentation is the key to adapting new styles. Please don't ask me how this turned into what it is. I have a great deal to improve in terms of artistic abilities, and I am hoping that I will be able to contribute and also listen to many great discussions in the future.

I was gonna ask you how this turned into what it is......but I've decided against it.

Its a tad odd (I'm never sarcastic), perhaps you should post something better or are you just building the suspense, leaving us in anticipation?

Its hard to crit seeing as its tough to see what you were going for. I'm interested to see your other stuff.
