Well, it's hard to comment, because it's so stylized, and so obviously not trying to be realistic at all, that there's not a whole lot to say. With this type of art, it's "anything goes," because the only definition of what's good is the artist's idea. So no comments from me, other than I like realism.

This is really sweet. very nice colorwork!
oaoo...this is one of the better pieces ive seen posted here. i love it. only technical "bug" i can see is that the table is somewhat transparent.

Anthony, I have to disagree a little bit with you... Yes, the image is not "realistic" in your terms (are superheros very realistic at all?), but you can still jugde the painting from it's composition, palette, "light-and shadow-use(vocabulary...)" and storytelling.
TheEyeless, your painting is good. I like the colors, and it's kind of cubistic. Nice. I also like the mix of the "realistic" face, and the big flat spaces. I don't like the transparent table, but someone already mentioned that. I've never really seen pieces like this on other than traditional media. Do you do traditional media? If so, do you have any photos of it?.
Well, I'm not the right person to give you a very well-defined critic, because I'm sorry to say I haven't studied modern art as much as I should. You can learn a lot from the old masters, but there are some pretty "die-hard" modern masters aswell!!! Studying a mix of these is very good I think. As for my own style, I tend to more "realistic" painting, and naturally I've been looking at Leonardo, Michelangelo, Rafael, Caravaggio, and many other Great Dead Guys. But I think it's pretty arrogant of some people to say that all modern art sucks, and they want to wipe out the entire last 100 years of art. Art has never been more interesting than today!! That's what I think.

Anthony: who really needs realism?? ha?

Kjetil Nystuen: jup. i normaly do traditional artwork. many of those. started this computer-crap( ) some weeks ago.

i tried to do things like the others. in this "boris" phantasy style(as i wanna call it now). but this pic i did with the thought of painting on normal canvas (is that the word???-austrian.....)..

i do have many traditional paintigs - but no chance to post it here(no scanner nor camera..)

hi theeyeless

i like your colors/ compo, the style is great and very refreshing

it changes from the overall "beast-gunman-superboobschicksword" attitude.

btw, i think you should have kept the colar of your original sketch , the idea looked great

keep posting, this forum welcome any kind of art, and sure, yours is really original and nice to see

Yo.
Arlequin is more like a sad clown or joker, but yours looks like it's a goth dewd that wears a colorful sweater :)
