All i see around forums these days is warrior chicks, ninjas, bruisers, robots and all kinda violence related stuff. And although i like it it is really boring. Weapons, blood & cut off heads. So i give you this challenge. Draw or color or whatever a sensitive looking girl. Simple as that. Or a normal looking guy. Not a cool dude with a somke or a gun. A normal person or a sensitive one. Girl/Boy/Man/Woman whatever as long as it is sensitive.

This is already in progress. Check out the "What happened to the girls?" post if you want to see more emotional depth.

You mean your post about anime? I'm sorry I didn't mean to "get you". Anime is great, you should post an anime pic you've done and then see if you can't turn that thread into a bit more of an anime discussion. I thought I just let you know about that other thread, I thought there was some excellent work there seems a shame to break things up. As far as entierly new work being created by people, that would be wonderful of course but it's a tall order. I think I've got some things in progress that I can post tonight though. I'll see when I finish work.

I think I see what Dives is getting at with this post, and I don't think just a bombardment of 'people art' is really that satisfying for what more mature members want to see here.
Personally, I write off a lot of stuff at first glance and continue to other threads when it is a certain variety. The factors Dives mentioned would usually put a piece of 'art' in the write off category in my mind (a personal preference, obviously) because it is childish. Focusing more on colour, on emotion, on intricacies that make art worth staring at and looking at in different ways, or simply admiring the effort that must have gone into it, is what I'm personally looking for. I think this is something along the lines of what Dives might be looking for as well.

Comrade... I think you are obsessed by this "sensitive" thing. Give it a break.
YOU do something "Sensitive" rather than Preach to everyone what they should and should not draw.
That's your challenge... DRAW SOMETHING SENSITIVE. Then perhaps people might pay a little more attention. |

Here is a very sensative animation. It shows the sensativity of my arse. My arse is so sensative, in fact, that it just blasted a dump the size of Rhode Island all over Dives because he upset me...How's that for sensative?

chapel: that first picture looks promising.
The second disturbs me. And the last one seems like a warrior babe.
Blitz: that is a nice go at sensitive. I saw that some time ago in a post you did.
Starseed: you understand pretty well.
I mean do something different! Have courage!
Try drawing a crying man, or a man on his knees crying to god. Or a really sad or innocent looking woman. Im gonn post a new thread about this. One that should make people try doing this.
