I've been reading this forum for about 6 months, and I feel it has really turned into complete shit. It isn't a place of learning, and the posts are hardly about art. They're all completely useless and have trashed the forum. It takes way too much energy for me to go through all the new moronic posts that are unrelated, stupid polls, stupid lamers who steal work, stupid ass hardware questions or stupid sketches of nothing (I'm talking to you Jenn with your "landscape"). But Jenn is just an example. There are a lot of other people who pull this crap. HAVE A NICE LIFE.

p.s. I hope you all burn in hell for what you've done to this place.

Are you a long time lurker, or just a newbie who isn't getting his milk? Sure it's getting more messy lately, and I read the names of the posters before the subject line now, but it's still a place where artists can help artists. I don't reply to stuff like Jenn's landscape(yeah! Let's pick on Jenn!), because I feel that they need to put more effort into the art before asking for help. However, everything moves in themes, and I'm sure in the coming months we'll have another Fred/Spooge-fest, with plenty new artwork and critiques. I think that more people are inspired to post when they see such high level art. But you cant' blame them-it's their perogative, and life comes before us. Is that so bad? I'd stick around awhile longer if I were you. And if you post something, I for one will try to help you out, assuming you put at least a few good hours into it. Good luck, whatever you do!

BTW - I'm not disputing your reasons (Apart from the remark about Jenn, who's presence brings a spell of fun to Sijun that no one apart from yourself seems to complain about).

So you don't like Sijun.com - BIG DEAL! Go somewhere else then!

Go to the forums at:-
www.digitalart.org
www.3dpalette.org
www.gfxartist.net

At the very least word your complaint with some degree of professionalism in the hope that people will agree with you and want to change the forum for the better.

These kind of "jump ship" angry posts just PISS PEOPLE OFF!

Even though he probably won't check this again... I'd just like to blow off a bit of steam...

When this guy stops pulling ideas out of his arse, maybe He'll see that this forum is excellent a full of like minded people, which is frequently disturbed by *ahem* certain people...hmmm let me see here.... I've been here 1 month and I have hmmm 60 something posts...

I love this place.

Hi skullighter,

I don't think that specifying any names was necessary to do skullighter. This forum needs the diversity of talents. I don't think this forum would be what it is if all of us were named "Spooge".

It is a free world with a certain amount of free choices to make. Within the boundaries of this freedom skullighter has the the choice to leave or stay. Whatever choice he makes, is right for him, I think. I am sorry to hear that you will go for the latter choice though, however, there are many ways to say goodbye, some, better than others.

Jenn,
I seem to recall that Skullighter said he have been "reading" this forum for 6 months, not necessarily been registered for six months.

Pierre

what they all said....

I mean, really... if you're pissed off (lord knows why) and don't plan to come back, why even bother telling us? Do you expect us to applaud you? Give you money? And since when do BBS's have to have quality control, just to keep you happy? Heck, even if there was, why do you deserve it? You've done nothing to contribute to the forum you're speaking out against. Hey buddy... the world doesn't revolve around you. Just something to keep in mind.

my 2 cents.

skullighter,

The real reason this forum has become so cluttered is because of useless bitch fests by people like you. 12 posts in six months? C'mon, have you ever contibuted anything useful to this forum? Do you think anyone here will miss having you around? Do you think anything you've said has improved the quality of this forum? I know for a fact that Jenn, and many others, have contributed greatly to the sucess of this board. So what have you done to make this a better forum, other than lurk, bitch, and otherwise be a pest here?

You are confused. Nobody owes you anything. If you are seaching for love go somewhere else. A post like this can only mean one thing, you were looking for something here that does not exist.

I think this board should be approached like a text book. A resource for learning. If we can have a few laughs while we are at it then so much the better but don't mistake that for people that CARE about you. If you are looking for a friend, buy a dog.

This place came to be from our lord Dhabih, it will end someday by his hand as well.

"On the first day Dhabih created the webpage, and he saw that it was good. Then he created the forum and it too was good. He gave life to the posts and they sprung forth and multiplied." Genartist 1:3

......yes, I've had a few drinks tonight....

I've been a lurker for well over 6 months and then finally registered in June[roughly 6 months ago, heh]. The things I've learned from the people here is priceless. Jenn is a wonderful person too.

I love this place because of the great posts from Fred (where are you, man?), spooge, micke, joachim, etc. However, the magnitude of original drawings/posts by the above-mentioned have been few and far between the last few weeks. I really think that there should be a separate forum for the newbies.

Many newbies are posting lately, which I feel is good. BUT...the flip side of this coin is that the regulars are posting less. I wish this didn't happen. It's really a chore to wade through posts that have a drawing where someone spent maybe fifteen minutes on at the most. I really would love to see the sijun forums back the way they once were.

It's really discouraging to find only one post a week that's inspirational. I know I'm exaggerating, but does anyone else agree with me on this?

I find the sword of inspiration cuts two fold. Work that is wonderful makes me want to work harder. Work that has flaws makes me feel like I'm not alone. How can one loose? Nobody FORCES these posts on me, nothing on this board is a CHORE.

Anyone who says, "I can't keep up with all the new posts." or "I hate looking at newbie art." I can suggest a pretty quick solution--------> Don't.

::bows to Tiger the wise::

I agree with you about not feeling alone thing, but also, even the 15 minute things have inspired me to do my own interpretation of what they've done [like the harlequin thread.]

yes, half year and 12 posts (that's even less than i have), i'd say it's rather passive people like you that ruin a forum...seems that you had nothing constructive to say/show and you were totally wrong on this forum, don't blame it for your faults.

But well, honestly, it's really horrible here with all those yelling kids and their usuall 'this sux i'm leaving' posts everytime.
Can't we get rid of them all at once ? pleeease, at least throw stones at them.

Ya know, this is kinda a neat thing. Everyone talking about someone leaveing. This could go forever. Um is there a way to see all that I posted by doing a search or something. I have 1 post in like being a member 2 weeks (something like that). I hope by you leaving more people will start seeing my crap and more will leave that only come to complain. I believe it says digital art forum. If someone posts a picture it "is" in digital format so it should be looked at...if you dont want to look at sketchs or the like read the topic. If it says "sketch" "drawing" or "painting" that might mean its not done with photoshop or the like. By the way you probably wasted time reading this rather then clicking on someones cool art work...[hint mine] hehe

Someone Who Knows..........

I had to laugh when I saw this post. I'm sure in those 12 posts of yours you made a tremendous contribution to the forum *sarcasim*

Thats a pretty shitty attitude to single out someone like Jenn (600+ posts), at least they have made a contribution. OK, their contribution isn't in a way you appreciate. Big deal. As someone else said, only read those threads from people who you think can 'enlighten' you. If you are arrogant enough to think no-one can do this, I'm sorry for wasting you 'valuable' time.

Yes the forum is moving quickly and is dynamic and changing all the time. It is concerning that some of the 'regulars' don't seem to be posting but who knows, maybe they are incredibly busy (which wouldn't be hard to imagine considering how good they are).

Everyone at some stage was a 'newbie', people are trying to get better and that is kinda the whole point of the forum. Not quite sure what you where after but given your attitude, don't particularly care either. Maybe I'll try and give a newbie a couple of ideas.
