At my job we usualy make stuff that is used internaly, at the clients offices. This time I hade the pleasure of making a small flash presentation, that is now public.
From nothing to completion, I spendt 7 - 8 work days over a three week period. All but the music is made by me.
What I love about Flash is how I can be a illustrator, a designer and a programer. Its a VERY rewarding feeling when it all works.

The only comment I have is it looks very nice. Why's that in english and the rest in whatever lanaguage?  Btw, try to preload everything as fast as possible.... because I hate waiting for that loading screen to go away when i click a number. If your just making it for an effect....make the loading screen shorter. |

Thank you...
The language is Norwegian. And that presentation is in english because that site wants some of the info to be international. Also Englis is our second languange, meaning almost all of us understand english, making the language choise virtualy invisible.
About preloading..I have made it as short as I can. You se, the presentation is buildt up of 5 individual flash movies, but only one is loaded at the start. The menu. When you press one of the numbers you load in a new movie. That movie has its own preloader. This means its just as fast to choose movie number 1 as 4. Had I put all 4 movies in, you would have had to wait AAAAAAAALOT longer for all 5 to load.
anyhow..enough tech talk..what about the art..design..illustrations??? THIS is a Digital Art forum! *s*

I think you have done some real excellent work here Akira! Did you use Flash 4 or 5? I put ,my first Flash site about 2 weeks ago, check it out on www.jorn-jorgensen.no. But that I've already posted here... Where did you do all the 3D stuff? Did you use 3DSMax? I liked how you timed it, very nice. The story goes smoothly. I'd rather see the "loading" text scroll the other way, it's better to read that way. Anyway, you did a very good job, and should be proud of it!

Yeah..I am pretty proud of it..for several reasons. Mostly because it was delivert 3 days before scedule, and with 10 hours to spare. Meaning I made my company more money.
The 3D was made in MAX, renderd with the Illustrate 2D shader, and traced in Flash. This look is what I would like Vecta, Swish and other flash renders to have, but they dont. So I have to do it this way.
