I am looking for some cool fantasy art to draw inspiration from and to just look at.
The type of art I am looking for is like, say, Brian Froud type of stuff, creatures, environments nothing like Boris's (Can't remember full name) or anything. Stuff that would resemble movies like Dark Christal, or Willow. Or games like Final Fantasy (not 7 or 8) or War Craft (for you PC'ers)
Well anyhoo....Maybe if you do this type of stuff You could link me up to your website.
Thanks yall
Blitz

Michael Whelan by far is probably one of the most inspirational artists to me when it comes to fantasy, almost all of his works can be found here: http://www.glassonion.com
(note: Whelan is definately THE MAN when it comes to creating and painting dragons)
Luis Royo is also a very great artist, but a lot darker. The next link has works by Luis Royo, but a few of them are broken: http://www.geocities.com/Paris/LeftBank/3821/2ROYO.HTM |

Tony Diterlizzi does work for TSR, and elements of his style are very similar to Froud's.

I love the ability to check out the sketch concepts on DiTerlizzi's site of the Magic cards he's done (since I was once an avid Magic:TG player).
Also, the Hildebrandt Brothers have done some FANTASTIC fantasy art: http://www.snapsite.com/guests/hildebros/
They've done a lot of artwork for Tolkien calanders and a cover for the wonderful Shannara series (Sword of Shannara and some inside paintings).
One last artist who also did some art for the Shannara series (the cover for Talismans of Shannara, my personal fav. of all the covers, gotta love Walker Bo) is Keith Parkinson: http://www.keithparkinson.com/

Guys these are some nice sites. It would be cool if we could get a collection of sites as reference and just a place to look for ideas.
It could be categorized like, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Traditional, Environmental, Miscellaneous.
I dont know just a thought.
