Hi..
Made a new drawing... this one will be painted using the oil brush tool in painter (love it). But before i start with that i want to know if it looks right.. for example, is the hand's size right compared to the face?
I don't usually scan with colors when it's black and white but i think it created a cool effect =)
sorry for the big filesize.
while i'm already posting i might as well post this project.. i think i'll make an armor or just a some kind of suit for him instead of making him naked. if you want to crit this one.. then critisize the colors.
some advices would be appreciated. i'm using painter classic.

well.. the part of the pipe that you've got in your mouth isn't that thick.. actually, i tried it myself. found and old pipe that my father use to use.
and maybe it's he's got it in the part of his mouth which you don't see.
thanks anyway. |

I would try to add a few lines on the lips so it looks like the lips are pressing the pipe. If the pipe is "holded" on the "dark" side, then you should think about fixing the perspective...

well.. actually, you don't hold the pipe with the lips.. your holding it with your teeth..
but if some lines could make it look better, i'll add them. and i'll reconsider the perspective too.
thanks.

and that pipe looks sorta like it's floating behind the guys face. His lips don't interact with it at all |

YES stupid indeed. But stupid is good. And about the picture.
It looks like his hood is being supported by something or he has a weird head. You could make it hang... And why is he holdin a torch or whatever that is. Wouldn't a staff be better? Oh and when you color try to make his eyes glow. |

no, it's a staff.. i didn't put any effort in the staff. i though i'd fix it when i color it.

damn, i get this all the time
it's not a female, it's a male elf. his cheekbones (?) and jaws is supposed to make him look like a man, while his more feminim shapes should make him more beautiful (elves are beautiful).
poxen thought that it's his lips that make him look like a female. he may be right.
and yes, the han is to near him.. i should fix that before i color it. thanks for pointing it out.
i thought the hand was too big.. maybe i'm wrong
if you don't have time, then take time.. it's always worth it. i love drawing and i hope i'll continue with it for the rest of my life. |

Great shading on the mage! Damn, I could do that once... and probably again once I get back to drawing more. Eh, sometimes there's no time for such things.
Anyhoo, the only thing that seems a bit strange to me is the placement of the hand. Would it really be that close to his head at that angle? And maybe the hand could be a_little_bigger, but that's easy enough to fix in photoshop.
Good colouring on the (elf?) woman. I think the mouth's placed a little too far down though.
Great work!

UUH a mage staff should DEFFINETLY have some nice ornament on top. Like some nice glowing ball. Or maybe one that has lightning or fire around it. And about the eyes.. well maybe not glowing outwards but a blue light IN them so he looks powerful. |
