Hello, my name is Dominik and this is actually the very first time I actually post something of mine. I have been hanging around here for a long time and have to thank you for all the inspiration I have received. This is a sculpture I did yesterday it took me some time but I don't think it's perfect. I had some free time so I whipped something together. Soon I will post some of my sketches. Tell me what you think. And finally , nice to meet all of you.

Its nice.. I see you are using my medium good job... I would put more details into the face like add actual pupils and also add some roundness to the face it looks a little flat.
But so far your on the right road

hmmm... I always find it really difficult to crit sculptures as the medium is a bit too different (others might feel this way and why you don't get a great number of crits on a 'digital' art forum). Here goes anyhow. The sculpture looks cool and the effect to do the beard is kinda interesting. The thing that stood out to me was the eyelids on both eyes, top and bottom. They just didn't appear smooth enough with nice curves. The characters left hand eye brow appears to be moving up too high and might need to be flattened' off. You might like to contact the person who has a female sculpture in a thread on this forum as they might be about to help you out a little bit better than most.(oops ... I just noticed that was optima)

It would have been more appropriate if it were a 3D model. As mentioned, this is a Digital Art forum, so at least people like me will have little to say about it. |
