I love the eyes! They are the best part. Not to say that the rest of the pic isnt fantastice.....Because it is.
I am not an artist but I will say that this picture has a great sense of motion. I can almost see her head turning to face me as her arms move forward and down her front. (or am I just weird)
Another thing that makes this picture so interesting is that you want to see her after she is done shedding....OK I ADMIT IT.. I AM WIERD!!! But I have come across people a lot weirder than I am.

That is one sick pic (that means good). I like the idea. And the more I look at it the more her eyes trip me out. |

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm pleased with the results myself.
Solitaire: I've never seen Silence of the Lambs so I've got no frame of reference for your insight. Care to fill me in?
LeChuck: Thanks for noticing Her eyes are supposed to be comepletely bronze except for the puples, which of course are slitted like a snake's. Oh and as for her looking hot, that was part of the deal when I chose to draw her, she was a request peice.
Delucubus: Wow I havent heard sick used as a compliment in a while Thanks for the compliments.

Hmmm, Interesting how the skin is so white and dry like parchment... It matches the theme of the sketch rather well. And how it's riding up and split about her legs, very, very realistic.
Secondly, the way you rendered the hair semitransparent is a very nice touch. Also the almost waiflike quality of the body adds a surrealness to the work. Also the skin tone matches that light bronzed-olive of the Romani heritage... All that's missing is the subtle 'body glitter' of the scales.
Finally, I like the contrast of tones on either side of the girl. The halo of gold mottling around the outside to the left and the cyan and blues to the right.
Also you are correct, that the eyes are meant to be all bronze, but that's a minor matter of re-'stopping' it again. Still the effect is quite startling as it is...
But you don't need me to tell you it's great.
If only everyone on here knew the story behind this picture... If you asked the *Ahem* 'Model' to see what's behind the skin, you'd probably get a Gurka Kukri blade in your throat... :>
She's pretty but don't touch or get close... Or even cross her path...

Hey there guy..
Wow, what a difference it makes colored I love it. Yeah, the eyes are incredible, i like them like you said, bronze. Hehe i wonder how she could get all that hair into that 'lil head cappie thing.. yeah those braids intertwined in there add an interesting element to her -urm- outfit.
Only thing i would suggest, is since you used a bit of blue light on her hair (coming from the left), you should assume the light will be hitting everything on that side more or less. Try turning a little of the white light on that side to blue.
Other than that, it looks awesome as always

This reminds me of the scifi series "V". If anyone ever remembers 'em. The aliens were reptiles in guise of humans eating mice. (uuugh!)
I have no critique other than it is very nice. Good job! |

Curiously, did you use a model for this, or just references from other sources, like a pose from a magazine or such? Or did you just freehand it from a visual in your head?

Well, the story comes to many parts, the idea or kernel that brought forth the specifics of the subject matter, then the inspiration behind the picture, that and the the conceptualization of that idea into a sketch...
I only know the very first one, the story of the woman pictured.. The rest, only N's knows...
But I'm still hoping N will answer my question on this one.

Hey again, thanks for the comments Nova, I'll look into fixing that color.
Yes Seven I did use a few reference peices. Mostly of women knealing in order to get the arch of the back correct. I've started a collection of various imagry to draw upon whenever I am not 100% certain that I can reproduce something.

don't girls shed and build their skin constantly by nature anyway?
they always seem to be soft. it is odd. it does not work like that for me. my skin, you see, drops off. like scalp/dandruff except on much bigger scale.

Wow kid. I like it. Decidedly different style from the rest of your art. I like it. Good to know you're getting used to the tablet too.
Good show, I say.
