Well, I hate Titanic the movie as much as the next guy (1 good scene though), but in my Social Studies class at my high school we've been assigned to make a Titanic journal and anything else we do for it is extra credit. So, I pulled out my Wacom tablet and made this pic. Sorry about the low compression, I hate killing (compressing) my art.
All comments and critiques are welcomed and encouraged, I'm still new to this.

Yeah the best part about the Titanic movie was watching Leonardo-de-CRapreio die. Anyhow enough about that, onto the image.
You need to have some really defining edges. At the moment these are not straigth enough from my liking. Take for instance the top of the hull where the black meets the white. As your eye runs along this defining edge, there isn't a sharp edge between the black and the white. It just looks a little bit too blurry/smudged.
Also, while it is good to have the ship going through the water, where is the actual ocean spray? A cheat to create this is to see the brush to 'dissolve' and paint away.

That would work if I had photoshop . Yup, this is Painter classic's bastard baby. Anyway, I guess your right, I'm counting three good scenes; nude scene (the one I was thinking of ), ship sinking, and Leonardo de Crappio dieing. Anyway, on to your comments.
Yea, it would help if I would get off the airbrush and on to some other brush. I just can't figure out which one to use in Painter. The airbrush blurs alot, and then I make it worse by bluring that... anyway, I see what you mean, but since its just a school project I'm not going to take the time to fix it. Anyway, thanks for your comments.

I'm having that newbie urge to get up and ask a wacom tablet question... ever happened to you guys?
Thanks for the comments guys, and suggestions. I wowed over my teacher and am happy with it for as little work I put into it.
