I hate being sick. cant sleep at night and all that. miss school and have to make up all that crap. being sick sucks.

Everyone has problems to say one person has it worse or better than another is extremely arogant. Yes what your mother is going through is terrible, but to suggest a person isnt suffering when you know nothing of them or their situation is arrogant. We all hurt and it doesnt take a horrible disease to make you suffer.

I'd been sick for the majority of november and december. As soon as I started to get better I'd catch a cold from someone new. Most of the time I'd got the worst days on the weekends, and I only managed to miss one day of school in two months of being sick. Then, I was sick over my winter break. It was lovely.

I've been well for about a week and a half now, so I'm hoping that means I'm over it entirely. (frown)

Periadam, Chronic Beauty is right. My dad has a late stage of Parkinson's disease and you don't see me throwing it in everyone's face every time someone bitches about what's wrong with their own life. One of my best friend's dad has cancer, too, and she'd never say anything like that to someone. =P

I have a rare kidney condition fatal in one out of every three of its victims... my girlfriend has an unidentified lump the size of a marble in her left breast... my best friend's father died of a heart attack in 1999 at the age of 46... my father, uncles, and grandfather are all diabetics... my grandmother is dying with late stage Alzheimer's disease... and so on. There is suffering and illness in all of our lives. It's not a contest, although this post may seem to indicate the contrary. My point is, let's not berate or belittle each other for something we all deal with and cannot change.
