Don't know if anyone's interested, but here's a pic I coloured today. The pencil was done by this awesome artist I used to work with and I inked it.

Yo garthmidgley,

Nice work, like the colors you chose.
Did you do the background?
looks too sharp, almost if it's a photo overdone. Coloring really pretty good though, I'd try to smudge the black shadowlines so the body gets more depth.

Tweek; The background started as the forest photo, which I then overlayed in PS with a purple sunset pic to bring out the sky a little more.
The whole thing only took about half an hour to colour with a mouse. Kinda fun trying to work quick.

Hey I did this real qucik ( 2 mins ) I am not good at telling someone what is wrong with there pics but I think it was obvious that the background was far to contrast with the forground . I just added a motion blur to get ride of the realism. Nothing major wish I had time to do more. Cool drawing though

lovely drawing... and lovely colouring job. Nice fleshtones. Is it just me, or does our menacing gladiator friend seem quite quite naked?

Actially i didn't think anything bad about the bg. Although i'd like to see it drawn in Dhabih style - all smooth, without black lines. And did i mention.... PUT SOME CLOTHES ON HIM!!!!!!!!! Armor or someplace... anything. I don't think i can look at this gay gladiator any longer hehehe im outta here.

Nice picture! Good use of shadows.

I remember seeing a Deathdealer commic once, and the artist who did it had a very similiar style to this piece, coloring and pencil&ink. Oh well I can't remember his name, but good picture!
