Guys I've seen some great coloring done here, and was just trying to follow the same idea. I cannot seem to get the flow of this PS coloring with the paint tool. Any tips?
I am using a rollpad thing on my lap top, but that only makes it harder to accomplish my task, but I just cannot seem to get the right shading and lighting down.
Any tips?
By the way, this is no where near being finished, I just felt I could ask for help now before I start trying to refine and sharpen everything. I need tip on doing that step as well. Anything and everything I need help with. Anything you know, I'd love to learn.

Thanks
BJ

I couldn't draw on a rollpad on a laptop. Come to think of it most of my friends would insist that I can't on a 'normal' machine either.

Thanks for the reply Liquid, it's an honor to hear anything from you. I'm a huge fan of your work. I remember long before I ever knew about this place looknig at Fantastic Four comic books and drooling over the cool coloring which was done by none other than Liquid.
Never ever thought I'd see so much of your great work and here about how you do it.
Thanks again!
BJ

Looked at your page Billy, I think it would be really cool if you drew this meanie here:

Except give him a full menacing pose, an environment and color him in PS... could look really cool
The stick there looks really nice btw.
Sorry I can't help with your PS coloring, I'm not too great at it myself ^_^

hi Billy,
it really depends on what style you are shooting for. I'm not sure if you specified whether or not you are having problems working with Photoshop altogether, or if you are just having problems with the painting tools. In any case, thought it might be useful to post a tutorial I made last year which shows how I normally work with Photoshop. You can view it here...

As for working with a laptop pointer thingy, man that's rough. Get a USB wacom and a stylus for your laptop, you won't regret it! ^_- |

Jezebel, thanks for checking out my page. I wouldn't mind drawing that guy again, I have drawn him a few times as simple sketches, that would be a bad project to work on thanks for the suggestion. I'm also very glad you checked out my page, what did you think of it?
VO, awesome tutoral help, I agree about the Wacom, I think I'll be buying one soon, and hopefully I'll be able to improve with it.
Thanks for the help.
Liquid, im glad to hear it, you are inspiration for tons of people and any time you give hints about anything it's always a pleasure to learn from you.
And thanks to the rest who posted about Liquid, the stuff he does rules. How come it ain't in museums yet?
