If you are happy with your life, why spend so much time posting messages on a forum, where all it does is eventually lead to arguments?

The main point of these are to share opinions and get insight from other people.
Yet all i see you people doing is arguing and making stupid comments.
Please, get a life for my sake =)

i am happy with my life, and in saying that i find most of the "arguments" to be quite hillarious. infact, enjoyable! its just another part of life that you shouldn't over analize, just take it for what it is...and thats life.

Well, I am not speaking about everybody anyways..I didn't mean to make my post seem so generalized.

I am mainly pointing my finger at people like "faust" who admit to having no life and refreshing this every 30 seconds, and argue about lame subjects.
These "faust posts"(any of his out of the 2000? that he has) eventually turn into arguments and the whole point of the original post is usually lost when people like "faust" enter the scene.

Unfortunately, a forum starts being cluttered with useless posts when people like faust enter the scene, BUT I do have to admit they become more flavorful and amusing.

So, I don't dislike the arguments nor applaud them, I just don't think these people are happy.

what cubicle? if this is a cubicle, it's a cool one, with a batman logo shaped desk and without walls.

i'm a all-around guy here, 2d, 3d modeling, textures, a little bit of print media (i dislike that word almost as much as most of our company's people dislike the name..), a little bit of video work, and www stuff. title is "graphics artist / graphic designer".

right now i'm supposed to be preparing a company/product presentation showreel thingie for a IT-yadda dadda seminar thingy that'll be held here in finland soon.

too bad i have a few distractions around.

i can hardly wait your response to this, oh mr. funniest guy of them all.

my shower is the same shape as the superman logo.

batman logo. mainly the wings. though with quite round design to it. no corners at all, just curves. quite useful idea actually, it has. the left and the right side bend "around" the person a bit, so it's easy and natural feeling to hold your elbows/arms on the desk while typing and whatnot. the color is kind of disturbing though, i never was big on this cheap-and-downtuned-mahongany tone crap. though it fits in quite well with the rest of the offices.

Oh yes, and I was quite amused on your argument about religion.

What would you say about someone that may perhaps...I don't know, pray on the football field for a good game?
Meditate to clear their mind before writing or a big concert their about to perform, or the one that every now and then says "I hope to god...." or "Praise god" when something good happens.

Would you rant and rave at them about them pushing their religion on you? Would you get angry at them about being religious?

Or would you shake your head and say "I don't care, because I know that I can argue about it on the forums late at night whenever I have the urge to. So, I won't be confrontational in reallife"

the religion argument / backstabbing from my behalf was because i am sick of christians/catholics especially.

i wrote somewhere in the thread a few times that i do not give a DANG what you believe in/what your philosophy is/whatever, as long as they keep it out of my face.

if Bob X is religious, i just point it out to him that it's pointless.
if Bob X says Praise the Lord! i just make some dry joke about it.
it does not matter whether Bob X appears on the forums or in real life, it's all the same and i'm always up for decent fucking discussion about religion in general AS LONG as they don't pull the trick Cable did.

yeah, i tend to be quite oppressive in face to face talk in general. 'course, when it's a casual work/biz talk occassion, i talk accordingly. and try to get my own word above it all. duh.
