I just finished this, and someone told me it looked exactly like some other design on the web. Damn. hopefully they didn't know what they were talking about..
besides, I originally drew this design nearly a year ago.
Oh well, here it is. Any comments or critiques...feel free.
Later,

looks very princess amidala inspired (funky hair braid, face paint, regal look and unique dress), but totally different clothing, nice work. the pose is a bit static, but it is for costume design you said ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

Ahhh yes, but she's blonde, princess Amidala was a brunette, biggggg difference, haha.
Yes, this does have its inspiration, but how does it work as a costume design? I think its different enough to stand on its own, but what do you guys think?
thanks |

Very classy, when I saw that though, I instantly though Princess Amidala..
But I like the colors and the paint on her face, but I'm not sure if it's unique enough to stand apart from the Amidala costume.
The constume is nice, although it kinda looks like she's gettin ready to hit the slopes, it's the poofy white stuff that makes me say that... But I like it, cool work, keep it up Skeez!
Cheers

I don't think they ment she looks like Amidala cuse of the "hair color", more of the design of the hair.
I dig it the image. Her left sholder apears to be some what flat in my eyes.
[Edit] Looking at it a bit harder. Kind of hard to tell what color the actuall dress is on the left side of her. Is prolly sopuse to be lighting, but maybe this is going along the lines of it seeming flat on that far left side.

I'm digging on that one Skeez, puts me in mind of Mrs.Claus with a nice big mug of 'Wonderland'
What sort of a world does this woman live in? The cloak makes me think the envioronment is chill, possibly just under the artic circle. The delicate hair work, and the fine craftsmanship on the doodads holding it up suggest an amount of advancement, while the background and the tattoo give away their primative heratige.
Maybe I'm just reading into this
This is giving me an idea for a really tripped out version of the Santa Claus tales... Thanks a heap

hehe, Mrs. Claus. Santa's doin pretty good for himself if that's the case.
I haven't yet figured out where she belongs. I had an idea, but by the time I finished painting it she no longer fit the environment. Oh well. |

the fur on the coat looks very nice. how do you do that? I've seen fur filters in PS, but they dont look very real.

Santa's hot mistress... I'm jealous!
Looks good Skeez, you continue to amaze. Since it's a costume concept, you may want to extend the picture to her feet just to get a feel for the entire costume. And I was thinking you could add the black dots to the ermine trim, might look more royal and less ski bunny. But it's awesome, and it stands apart. Just cuz a biatch has funky hair and face paint doesn't mean she's Princess Amidala! Peace out homes.

yeh, i could see Princess Amidala, the hair certainly resembles her style.
Looking at her hair and hair/headdress(?), the face paint too, it looks like she's definitely from some futuristic/space setting.. her dress, though (yes, N Pak) looks like she's from somewhere cold. So i'm thinking futuristic winter planet.. makes sense, no?
you gotta love her jewlery, kinda in the furry part of her cloak, it adds a lot of depth to the painting right there
Only thing i could suggest is since there's sharper highlights and shapes in the upper part of the image, in the face and neck and stuff, there would be a lot more balance if you added some of the same look to her dress or maybe taking a 2 pixel paintbrush to the fur or something.

Hey skeezer this is awsome man I mean it very beutiful painting...hey man just a couple of things for ya...the lower left cheek area is a little blurred..sharpen that up a bit and also the area around her tits needs to be a little sharper and not so skribblesd...just tighten up the background and man you would have one kick ass painting...good work let's see more! |

Solidtransient-All I'm gonna say is defined brushes and low opacity. hehe...
Sac-thanks as always, I probably should finish the dress hehe, I was mostly concentrating on the continuation of the curve I created in the hair piece and how it played out throughout the dress, never got around to finishing the base though, guess I should.
Yoshi-hey that's pretty cool. She looks like the evil step-mother hehe. I like her shoulder pads.
Milkman-hehe, I usually spend more time there, but..well,.. hehe, I guess I have no excuse. I'll spend more time on the chest.
Nova-thanks for noticing the necklace. It took me a while to figure out how to bury it in the fur right. I'll try and bring the highlights down too.
Thanks guys.

Mrs. Claws, arent you looking particularly young today. RRRRRRRRRRR
Ok now for something serious...
Amadala Amadala..yada..yada
She looks like she lives in a rather cold environment. I like the costume design. The hair well I don't care for it much. Hmmm Ill get back to you on it. Maybe I can show you a few things at school. heheh
The over all design is good though. Me likith allot.
